Hi

Great forum with lots of information, thanks.

I`m a new member looking for some advice. I am about to buy a GS450h and have 2 cars on the shortlist. They are both 2007. One has 42k miles and the other, which is cleaner, has 110k miles. I am wondering if the higher mileage car would a very high risk from a relability point of view. What are the views of those experienced in these cars?

Thanks

Billbo

Provided you know the FULL history of both vehicles then the one with the least mileage must, by definition, be the best buy as a lower mileage will attract a better price when & if you decide to sell/part ex for another newer Lexus

Being dirtier simply means it needs a good valet costing about £70

Got my 58 plate GS450H in October 2012 with 10k miles 1 owner and full main dealer service history.
I paid top money - could have got same year with 50k no history for 4/5k cheaper.
For me a full history is the most important aspect and mileage is second as Lexmanic said a good clean can work wonders and even if a bit of body work needs doing at least you will have peace of mind ! :driving:

Full service history and the overall condition/look/feel of the car are paramount. Mileage is really secondary as you could get a car with say 70k miles that is better than one with 20k miles.
