Hi, just dropped in to say hello. I just treated myself to my first Lexus, a 2003 IS200. It's lovely, black with 18" wheels, 69k miles, full history, new MOT today etc etc.

It's a bit tame power-wise but doesn't the engine sound amazing! I picked it up and hour ago and drove all the way roaring up through the gears, then slowing down so I could do it again!

The only thing I don't like is where the previous owner has painted the calipers blue. Tomorrow they will be either black or red.

I'm thinking of putting a stainless cat back system (if I can find a reasonably priced one) and air filter, but no plans other than that.

Steve congrats on your car, the only problem you will have is keeping it clean mate , i do mine . However you should have a car that will last you years , if you want more power then theres always forced induction ,welcome to loc, theres always someone on here to give you great advice and help.

I'm not really bothered about extra power. I bought it as I have just started my own business so had to sell my Mazda to buy my van. I need a car for the 2 evenings a week when I have my kids for a few hours. So the economy isn't really an issue as I won't be doing many miles at all. It seems a very well constructed, reliable and safe car to put my kids into :flowers:

Oh, and it looks and sounds the dogs b******s!
