This afternoon as the kids were off we decided to take the LS430 out for a run so we had a 230 mile round trip for fish and chips in Scarborough followed with an hour in the arcades.

Very relaxed and enjoyable drive now back in front of the wood burner out of the rain.

I did Edinburgh to Newcastle last year, a gentle pootle stopping off at Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and a few other quite places, lovely way to spend a day, but never stopped off for Fish & Chips, so maybe next time, will consider this as option.

Must say in an LS400 felt like I was driving a comfortable sofa around some luverly scenery

I'll be round your way next week Pete, couple of days in Stow-on-the-Wold,and Bourton-on-the-Water,hope the weather stays nice.

The Cotswolds and LS made for one another, but then is Exmoor, Lune Valley (M6), Heads of The Valley (Gwent), in fact any part of the country is made for cruising in an LS.

Enjoy your trip around, and enjoy some of the good pubs here about.

If you get a chance to get down to Minchinhampton Common, which is near where I live, and sample some WInstones Local Ice Cream on a nice sunny day, well worth doing. Mind you keep an eye out for the cattle roaming around, they are not bothered whether your in Kia biscuit box on wheels or a Bentley, they just wander right in front of you.
