Hi can anyone help me?

I have recently purchased a beautiful LexusCT200H Advance and need some help with transferring my contacts from my blackberry.

I have set up the Bluetooth so i can make calls and recorded some names but thats as far as the instructions take me. I have also set my Iphone for music but cant set that one to connect for phone use. I would like to be able to select which phone i want to use as bb is for work and Iphone personal.

Thx in advance Di

Hi,

I have tried without success to download the contacts from two Blackberrys onto my car. I have the full factory Nav system with more screen features for phone than you would see on the radio display in your car, and still I have been unable to do anything. I had partly put down to my phones are company ones which automatically default to password protect due to information on there and given up. I have had to load manual contacts onto the phone screen, but it don't know if you can do that without having the full Nav. option.

It's the first car that I have had that I haven't been able to make it work, some colleagues have had a few issues but I have always found a workaround.

Interesting to see if anyone does have a solution.

i dont have the nav on mine but i could transfer them BUT only 1 contact at a time when i had my mercedes you could transfer the whole phonebook in one go, the lexus audio / phone is a right pain

if you go through the setup menu you will come across phonebook ,then add a contact you then need to give them a voice tag to identify the number transfered i think the car can only store about 20 numbers so you wont get all your contacts on there.

for any number that you haven't been able to store then you have to dial from your phone to connect again with the mercedes there is a full numeric pad so dialing a number is easy.

Thanks for the responses Richard and Mark. I am very disappointed with this simple option not being available. Adding one by one is not ideal. I suppose i had better make a start, although with just 20 spaces not hardly enough. Thx

Hi Di, you are not alone in being disappointed by some very simple technology. My previous two cars had no issues with Iphone contacts and all were available as soon as the Bluetooth had synced up. I thought that something so basic would be available but instead I am in dispute with the dealership, as their interpretation of hands free only means to receive calls.....

The car is great but not being able to dial out other than from the phone, is absolutely diabolical.

i have to agree with you geoffj my last car a mercedes A class had a full numeric pad so you could dial your number direct from the keypad ,you could transfer your whole phonebook by Bluetooth in one simple operation and view your whole phonebook on the dashboard, theres the old saying "you dont know what you have till its gone" and boy i miss the merc phone system ,i thought all cars especially a lexus would be able to perform simple tasks and perform them well.

Hi 200h, I visited the dealership yesterday to discuss the issue with "the specialist" who took me through the process to manually input my contacts. I told him I had read the manual and can do this, but what I wanted to do was import from my Iphone5s even if it is 1 at a time. His response was very blunt and not very helpful, "it can't be done as Iphone is incompatible with the Non-nav system and that I should buy a Samsung." So Lexus are happy to supply inferior equipment and their specialist has an attitude.... Not impressed

i am surprised that the Iphone wont work with the lexus as the Iphone in general sets the standards and works with everything ,and so it should with the cost of one brand new Iphone.

maybe apple should bring some backward compatibility into their phones so then they are as good as they think they are.
