No Locking Nut Any Tips

Recommended Posts

Yes my tip is always make sure the lock nut removal socket is present when you purchase the car :)

But seriously any decent tyre fitting place should be able to remove the locknuts, the nuts will be written off but the wheels undamaged.

Then have a look in the usual online places for a replacement set or give ACLex our resident parts guru a call at Lexus Poole.

Have you looked in all the usual hiding places, glovebox, door pockets, arm rest, tool kit box and under the boot floor mat/spare wheel well area.

Are the locking wheel nuts the ones with 3 small holes in them?

If so, I have a spare wheel nut remover that you can have.

PM me your address and I will send it off to you.

For future reference, record the number somewhere. I bought a car and found the key was missing. Luckily, the empty box was in the car with the number on it and my Lexus dealer lent me their master key. Excellent service! ( Especially as I bought the car elsewhere)

I did some work on my brakes a while back, the day after, I went to do some more, after a 20 mile drive, and couldn't find the nut anywhere, eventually found it still attached to the wheel nut... So my tip is remember to put it away after you use it
