New Isf Owner From Essex

Hi all,

This is my first post so thought i would say hello to all the members.

I have today just put a deposit down for a 2013 mercury grey isf from the Twickenham Lexus dealer. I managed to get 3.5K off of the advertised price which i thought made it a decent price being a 2013 car with just a tad over 1,000 miles on the clock. Which would make it 15K off a new price :) .

I used to own a modified skyline 350gt and was a moderator on the Skyline owners forum for the 350z and 350gt section (hence my user name).

Hoping to pick her up next Saturday and try to get to some meetings so i can pick up a few tips etc.

The dealer is going to do the one year service but was looking to have her serviced in future at Westfield motors in Rawreth Essex who seem to be a Toyota/Lexus specialist but not a dealer, has anyone had any experience in using them. I use them to service my wifes Rav4 and they seem pretty fair on prices.

Tom

Welcome to the forum. Congratulation on the purchase. What colour did you buy?

What other cars have you owned? Good to see another one around Essex :)

Hopefully see you at a few meets.

Basically I got too old at 52

Funny story about the Skyline,

I was driving it on my way to southend and a couple of young girls in a mini i could see where creeping up the side of me in traffic to peek in and check me out. Because i had privacy glass they had to get right up level to see me and due to both our windows being down at the time when they finally got level and looked over i heard one say to the other "oh yuk no it's an old man" . so i decided from that point it would be of better use in the hands of a young buck.

TBH it was my hobby from 2006 until this year. It was put together using the best aftermarket parts available at the time and built by Torque Developments in Thurrock.

There are some pictures here and a bit about the engine build.

Brilliant! Great story. Really is a cracking looking car that skyline. There is a rolling road meet at AMD in Thurrock in August if you fancy coming along.
