Suspension Drop Links - Need Brand Advice Please

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

My mechanic says that my d/s/f drop link needs replacing (although both sides have a pronounced knock when the wheel "drops" )

So I'm going to get the pair done - My local parts supplier has quoted me sub £30 per link made by "First Line"

I think First Line is their preferred manufacturer but I wonder if there are better quality parts out there for not much more money

As always, many thanks in advance

Viren

yep - just obtain the part numbers and you will see the prices are around half of what we pay including delivery - my latest order took 14 days start to recieiving and cost exactly half the money i would of paid even after paying £30 of pounds for duty

From experience first line are a budget brand, they will do the job but you get what you pay for,

Blueprint would be my choice or Delphi if they make them for the Lexus, or of course genuine if you can justify the cost.

Very slight wear in a drop link will not necessarily fail the MOT but can cause a pronounced light knocking noise when driving.

Good luck

Eurocarparts aftermarket replacements cost more than OEM Lexus, stranger still they cost more than lower ball joints.

Lexus part numbers are as follows

LH (passenger side) 48810-50011

RH (driver's side) 48820-50011

Nuts (come seperately) 90179-12047
