De-cating V8 Soarer

Hello .....again! Was thinking of de-cating my V8, will the car benefit from this? I had previously owned a 300zx TT, de-cating was an option although it would be putting more pressure on the Turbos. I didnt bother it the end. What do you think?

You may get a slight increase in performance but it's probably not worth it unless you are doing other modifications to the engine that will benefit from the decrease in back pressure and reduced temperatures.

On turbo cars the boost pressure normally goes up so it's a cheap and quick way to gain performance. On a NA car it won't make too much difference.

De catting and altering the air intake will gain about 20 bhp and will improve economy slightly.

Agreed it can be done for under £100 and is a huge benefit for both the V8 and TT - do it!!
