  1. Hello, My apologies if this is a breach of forum rules, or if this is in the wrong place. I have a single standard 17 inch alloy wheel for an IS200, which, as I now no longer have a Lexus, is clogging up my shed. So I thought I'd see if anyone was interested in taking it away for free. I bought it a while ago as I had a slow leak on one of my wheels, and the consensus was a crack was the cause. However in the end just replacing the valve fixed it, so I never needed to fit the extra wheel. It is used, and a bit scuffed, but as far as I know it is straight and perfectly usable. However I cannot guarantee this as it was never on my car. If anyone wants it, let me know. Collection only unfortunately, from north Cambridge. Simon

  3. Hi everyone, Picking up my IS200 today and cannot wait! Got 96k miles but apparently the engines are sound. (I'm sure you lot know..) And prior to the current owner who's had it for 5 months, it has 1 owner from new and the most hilariously comprehensive service history. Sure they're juicy, but ***** for the money they're fully loaded.. Everything works (even the cd changer and I've heard they're dodgy) Only thing I'm bothered about is connecting my phone to the headunit, as I've been told its best to keep the original in there if its working.. and I don't really want to revert back to an aux to tape cassette converter like back in the day haha This evening can't come soon enough.

  5. Have had the 400 since Wednesday driven more than 300 miles some city traffic but most national roads. I can now understand why the people who have them swear by them.s Unlike my 430 which has Air, this one does not float, it drives more sporty, and feels more like the phaeton or Jag. I did miss the keyless entry and start but thats about it, its hard to believe that this has touch screen sat nav 14 years ago while the phaeton did not have it in 2006. mind you the cd disc is way out of date and keeps telling me I am off road Sorry I do not have more pics at the moment The ones I saved from the Ad do not seem to work now they come out all blurred maybe because DoneDeal have some objection to using them. Some before and after on my 430

  7. Well never knew that. Got me looking and found this web page - http://www.plasfuelsys.org/benefits-plastic-fuel-tanks/light-weight-fuel-tanks which makes me think modern cars will have rotted fuel tanks as we try to go greener. If Audi's have plastic fuel tanks, what else has.

  8. Ive got a samsung s3, but will be happy with the aux. port because I use spotify on my phone and it may not be compatible but I'm not sure. I've seen Dension ones before, and the cheaper versions on ebay but dont know whether to trust them.. God I'm loving this car so much. Everything about it is just amazing. Makes you wonder why people ever buy brand new beamers when these badboys are fully loaded. So nice to drive and so comfy aswell. The fact the boot opens from the key is amazing aswell. It's become my party trick.

  9. My light came on at 419 miles. like i said about 80% A road 20% town. didnt fill up until 445. Youst to get the usual 300-325 around if all town. im quite happy with this, really not alot different to my 1.6 Focus or even my Rover 200 diesel. Not sure really why ppl complain tbh, there are MUCH worse MPG cars out there trust me!

  10. Blue was my first choice for colour, but in the end I went for the (off) silver. Enjoy it - I've had mine a couple years now, and I still enjoy driving it! Went out this eve down my usual twisty lanes, and whilst it might not be the quickest thing you can buy, it sure does grip! What phone do you want to connect to the HU? There's a couple kits out that work with the stock HU (they plug into the external CD changer port on the back of the HU), one made by a company called GROM and another called XCARLINK. I think both have bluetooth options too. I have the Grom model, and use it with my iPhone and iPod (30pin connector standard on the Grom which works with iPod, and the Apple lightning adapter to use with my iPhone (5). For the most part, it works a treat (bit of a niggle with the iPhone 5 + lightning adapter; sometimes it works flawlessly, other times it keeps "disconnecting" (not physically). Worked flawlessly with iPhone 4, so I'm convinced the problem lies in the Apple adapter and backward compatibility. But these kits don't just cater for iStuff - they'll also connect to other brands too, or get the bluetooth link and have it wirelessly play.

  11. Hello, Welcome to the forum. 1) Try replacing the battery in the remote. 2) Which error message is being displayed? ERROR 1 or ERROR 3? ERROR 1 is a dirty lens, and just needs a lens clean. Most likely its the ERROR 3. Try searching the forum for this issue as its widely covered. Try ejecting all the discs, one by one.

  12. The only issue i know of is ethanol and plastic, especially plastic fuel tanks of the kind you see on big adventure style motorbikes, it slowly degrades the plastic over a few years. Had to replace a tank on my big aprillia caponord after 4 years of ownership at £1200 for the new tank and just over £100 to have the tank internals stripped then specially coated to create a barrier to stop the plastic being attacked by the ethanol in the fuel. This issue is well known and documented in the usa where ethanol is more commonly used.

  13. It should only be £160ish?!?? You just plug in the update tool for approx 1 hour for it to upload....nothing needs to be removed. Which dealer told you this?
