If You want more power you should of got the IS 300! Dont judge a car by one problem ! And if you have driven or owned the cars you mentioned you should have never bought an IS 200 to begin with! B)

I reckon if its serviced regular looked after well it should do easily 250K Toyota have an excellent reputaions for engines I know guys that use other Toyotas with 2 litre engine for taxis and have clocked up 300K no problems, and they get thrashed to :tsktsk:

Mate how did you do that on yr sat nav, I got sat nav too and didnt knw you had a maintenance option?? -
I had those on my Cavalier and they were :tsktsk: I would never put them on my lex unless they were free, actually :tsktsk: paid me to have them on, I was selling the car, and I was desperate! Get some Toyos, Eagle F1 etc etc its worth the lil 20 - 30 quid xtra

:zee: Just had a Oil and Filter change which im planning to do every 6K in between services also! I had Mobil 1 fully Synthetic oil put in and the car feels so much smoother you can feel the difference when accelerating! I have never felt this before in my previous cars but good oil does make a difference and keeps yr engine running sweet! Anyone else felt the difference or am I buzzing! :zee:

Its a hard choice, cos every time I see a different coloured IS i think to myself should I have gone for that colour! but here is what me and my 20 odd mates think! 1 Black 2 Silver 3 Granite / Blue 4 Red 5 Green was voted the worst colour !

Totally agreed mate. Especially in my industry (IT) all the tech heads drive flashy drop top beemers, or M3's and some have the Merc range... although i've noticed alot of IT personnel move over to the Audi scene. I've never fancied BMW's or Mercs, but i must say the Audi would've been worth a second look. Although saying that, i would never betray my japanese cars. They are quality machines, made with love and care. Lexus all the way i say :D ←

Whats perfect in a car? Different people have different tastes and opinions! Bottom line is IS 200 was designed for good looks, reliability, and luxury! and I would prefer an IS to a Beemer (too common nowadays)! and 0 - 60 in 9.5 secs aint brill but not too bad either! the new IS looks OK but it will probably take time getting used to, as for the old IS Lexus have done exceptionally well to rival BMW! B)

Congratulations Niraj I must admit i bought mine on 15th May 2005, and I had wanted one for ages too about 2 years. I finally bouth one on a T plate IS200 SE with FLSH, 51K, 2 Owners, Black in colour as I love Platinum Ice but I think Black juts kills it :winky: And I always wanted sat Nav which mine came with and it is heavy! Black half leather interior and the classic IS 17's What a motor, I love being different from all them guys out there that got a typical Beemer and its different from a merc. B)

I love the old IS shape But the new IS I wanna see it in the flesh before I have my say, although I must admit I will like probably like it looking at the pics. Interior looks sweert and engines sound great, and I love the sound of a Radar on the car! whats next Stealth mode :D :D :D :D

I dont know exactly where you can get them repaired but on the back of various Car magazines i.e Max Power and *****, there are places that refurbish alloys. They usually cost between 30-60 quid per wheel and they look like new too when their done!

Potenza what? Pontenza is a range of tyre. Some of the range are complete rubbish like to RE030 fitted as standard to the GS range. I guess you mean the top of the range S-03? They are good but having had both the S-O3 and Eagle F1 I think the Goodyears have the edge and the reviews on tirerack seem to suggest many others feel the same way. ← Yes S03's mate !

I got mine changed at 50K although the car was comming up to 6 years and the belt had not been changed before. Get it done, id rather pay 200-300 quid then a couple of grand for a new head or engine.
