  4. They saved me £130 pound! Excellent service but they gave me 30% discount though and when they sent me my temp cert it has 3 yrs NCB on it and I only have 1 yrs NCB. So when I rang them up to clarify they told me that the 3 yrs NCB was their introductory discount and they are aware I only have 1 yrs NCB!

  7. Hi I just ordered a 2005/2006 CD based disc for my IS 200SE on Ebay Its not the original disc from Lexus but its been made to work on IS GS LS based models that use the CD based syetem! Price £24.99 and free delivery Im waiting for it now but the seller who has good ratings tells me he has sold lots and it works fine in his 2000 IS 200!! Dealers quoted me around £180
  8. Hire cars - I rip the crap out of them Work cars - Drive them faster then normal Friends cars - Take very good care and drive slower Lexus - Drive it sweet
  9. Hi write a letter to the parking authority the address hsould be on the back and despite it! Once they know the facts they may wave it or give u a reduced fine! i had a problem simular when i started work at 0700 hrs I would get to the car park at 0630 Hrs and the machine would not let me buy an all day ticket cos it only issues them after 0700 hrs. So i got a fine once and I desputed it big time and they waved it for me! I was surprised thinking that they would not!
  10. I usually would let them bed in for 500 miles and be gentle with braking up untill then! then use them like normal!
  11. Give it to me for a few days Ill get that baby flying!!
  12. LexusIS200Sam Mate im gonna hand it to you! My mates are alaysa telling me to put some rims on my Lex! But to be honest I feel the original 17's look great and in my opinion there are not too many aftermarket ones that will make the car look better! But your rims and car looks awesome mate I love it!
  13. LOL Yeh good thing I didnt take it up the $%£!!
  14. got a new clutch put in yesterday! And they left the old so called worn flywheel in! but i get no judder at all now and it feels so smooth! Might not last that way though!
  15. You may need a new flywheel also and dont hold yr breath its exactly £691 + VAT from Lexus (Reading) they quoted me that yesterday! You may need to get it skimmed also which would be cheaper! Or get one from Pro Lex £285 or 2nd hand which will be much cheaper! Tell me how you get on!!
  16. yeh mate yr right! But they just sprung the flywheel cost me ove a phone call and told me it will be about £840 for flywheel all in, and +£29 for clutch. So I asked him to put the old one back in! I then came on here and asked around as well as give swift breakers a call and he had a 03 flywheel in good nick for £50 so I ordered it. I rang them back up and told them I had got one, but they told me that they have already stuck the old one back in and it was a bit late now. So I thought id hang on to the new flywheel and get a local mechanic to fit it sometime. But I must admit since i have had the new clutch in with old flywheel, the gears change much smoother, i get no clutch judder and it feels great! So I might just ride my luck with the old flywheel after all and keep the new one i ordered from Swift as a back up! The last post should read £840 for flywheel all in + £329 for clutch!!!!
  17. Hi Guys I managed to get one from Swift breakers! The guy was really helpfull and had on from an 03 Lex in good condition! He quoted me £50 + £10 delivery! What I dont understand is how come a brand new one was approx £691 + VAT on top! from Lexus! Even a new one from Pro Lex was a excellent deal! Im gonna see how this Flywheel is its comming through on Weds and get it fitted (If not ill take up the offers on here)! But I really really appreciate the help and quick posts that were put on here, We have got some real good people on this forum!
  18. My clutch is on the way out so I booked it with Mr Clutch! They quoted me £329 for the cluthc Kit which I thought was good compared to £550 Lexus asked for! Now that they have got the car they rang me up and said the Flywheel will need changing soon as its worn and cos its spring loaded it comes directly from Lexus only! He told me that it was going to cost £840 just for the flywheel and this is the price from Lexus plus VAT and his £40 fitting charge all included! (As it is a Lexus only Part) I just told them to put the old one back in! Can that be right £800 odd for a componant like that and thats like almost 1/7 of the value of my car for gods sake! Anyone know where I can get a cheaper one from and how much please????? Any advice or commenst would be so much appreciated!
