  1. Anyone know anything about this one? Vibration from the passenger B pillar or roof lining! It only occurs when there is no passenger and with any decent bass. It's been driving my misses mad, so she's dropped the motor off this morning. I believe it to be related to the pretensioner on the passenger side, which could explain why you only get this with no passenger. I'll let you know how it goes with the dealer. Matty
  2. Nice work fella, looks lovely.... Someone wanna wax up our IS - It really needs sorting and the geezer i booked let me down....
  3. We were comparing the 250 IS - SEL MM and a 325 coupe Auto. The Beemer was more expensive and didn't have the spec, but that was not the sole reason for buying the lexus. There are so many Beemers on the roads, it's nice to see something different and the Auto box in the Lexus IMO is superior to the Beemer. Then you look into the owning experiance - we'd owned a 320D and had no trouble with it, but i've never been a great fan of Beemer dealers and their touch of arrogance. I have been so impressed with the Lexus garage, it's hassle free and they have been pleasent people to deal with. Then you have - Seats/toys/MPG which all add up when you're covering 30K miles a year.
  4. Agree with Jambo on this one. we had supapap on our Golf Gti, it didn't stop the bird lime marks!!! and you can't claim for that? never again........ bloody waste of money :tsktsk: oh and the VW screwed up applying the glue for the supagard security numbers, we had to have them reapplied, which looked nice! we did argue for compo and got 500 back for the screw ups.....
  5. they look lovely fella, nice work :D
  6. Good day! we've replaced the 17" OEM's for 18" OEM Baranusa rims. They cost the thick end of 2K with decent rubber from the dealer, I then sold my 17's through this forum. IMHO the Baranusa's look gorgeous! For sure the ride is harder, but it is by no means harsh. happy shopping
  7. Hello there... what about a IS250 SE-L with MM and 18's? i must get some pics up, as the 18's make all the difference IMHO..... an ex demonstrator seems to make the best sense, we managed to save 5K doind it that way...
  8. The Snow button is to help in snowy/ice conditions to help keep revs low and the etc button is a sort of boost button .I only ever use it when in a situation when need to pull away a bit sharper. I need to have a look at that!!! i'd love a bit more initial pick up...
  9. Ditto that! we've gone from Jag X-type to A3 3.2 DSG to Golf GTi MK5 and Boxster S to Lexus IS250 MM. The IS is simply an awesome motor to own and enjoy. on a trip into the heart of London last week it was faultless and i couldn't imagine a better car to be in. I don't mind admitting that i didn't really get the Lexus at first, but it gets under your skin pretty quickly. happy shopping :winky:
  10. My chick has just got here average upto 33mpg - with a 35mpg on her last tank. She did have an average of 39mpg on the tank but then gave me the keys lol
  11. My chicks got the average upto 32mpg on her IS250 SE Auto - Her tank average is normally 32-33mpg. but then i ruin it I think the average will settle down to an amazing 33mpg after a few more months. Just for a bit of info - i manage 44 mpg out of my Grande Punto 1.9TD and that is with thrashing it everywhere lol! on a run upto Aylesbury i managed 52mpg over 3 days and 240 miles. I would expect the 220D to return well over 45mpg?
  12. When you switch off the ignition, the steering wheel automatically moves to fully up and fully in position. The seat does not move. Cool, I think I gotta buy this car for that alone! lol It is really cool. I'm 6'4" and 16 stone, it certainly helps with the wheel out of my way :winky: :D
  13. I love the toys! You've three presets on the SE-L - they control seats/mirrors and wheel! well cool... But the A/C seats are my favourite, love em.
  14. Best I had then! The guy doing the work will hopefully be down in the next couple of weeks, but i'll get some taken when i get back from Germany. :)
  15. I know! I'm used to 22 mpg from my old Boxster! But the diesel rollerskate Fiat managed 52 mpg over 3 trips to and from Aylesbury last week. total 240 miles. I was pretty impressed as i wasn't driving like miss daisy lol! the average so far on our IS250 is 33mpg, which is still pretty impressive IMO. :D the chicks old golf gti would only get around 30 tops. I also run the IS in supa from BP. Just stay away from the supermarkets :winky:
  16. Just don't use supermarket fuel!!!! awful stuff! I use BP in my diesel rollerskate - it's the only juice i can get 52 mpg from!!!!
  17. I'm trying to get him into a IS200, so i wonder...... I'll get to work on that one...... although any Gaydon meet would be better for me.... :D
