B) Got to say, that now we've had the GS-H for a couple of weeks, I sooooo love it! more than i thought to be honest.... and stangely i find it easier to drive around than the IS it replaced! strange....

Do the math for sure.... I believe it to be good value for money, but we don on average 20-25K a year. I was offered similar on my Impreza, I only run 10K a year so it was a false economy. You need to ensure the dealer is giving you a saving!!

I've not noticed any flat spots in our 450, and i've been doing a lot of 50 to 70... perhaps these is a software update or something needed? I'll keep checking, but so i can check the same. are you in normal drive and normal suspension settings?

We took it out on our IS at 650 for the three, money well spent imo. It simply eases the pain when you actually get it serviced!!!

lead feet eh..... :D i have the same problem, and sport on the suspension and sport on the gearbox has become a friend :) :) my misses on the other hand is returning a solid 37mpg!!!

Nightmare for ya mate! The P Zero's should be good, but don't expect the life to be all that ;) Just stay away from Goodyear F1's!!! i really thought they would be the muts, but OMG they were awful!

Hello and welcome mate, we've just swapped in our 56 plate IS250 for the GS450H as well. how are you finding it?

What size are you talking? We had 18's on our IS - in 60k miles we went from Bridgestone to Dunlop to Goodyear F1's. The Dunlop sport Maxx were the best by a country mile... and they are still available.

And that is what i don't get! if they are selling for £330k without making any money on them, then why not sell them for 100K???? Just seems so odd....

£900 a tyre!!!! OMG!!! I'd rather have a Nissan anyways

What did you think of it mate? 330k's worth of motor.... Allegedly there is only one Lexus sales exec selling them in the UK and he's based in London, i can't imagine many will be sold here if any!

I didn't know that about the sport setting, I thought it was purely for the suspension... this i need to try ;) wow! how bad is the diesel... still currently averaging 34mpg in the GS, I'm sure this will come down in time though :) We averaged 32.5 mpg in the IS250 over 60K miles, so who needs diesel :winky:

Thanks for the info fella, I'll just have to miss the lit up freshholds ;) I had a little sample of the car in sport this morning! OMG! didn't quite expect it to be as linear and quick as it was.... nice... real nice... MPG still at 34!

Thanks gents :D Went upto Stockport last night in the IS a restless night and drove back today in the H :) wish i could move that dealer closer, really nice bunch. Initial thoughts - wow, it's so comfortable! averaged 36mpg with everything reset before i left, so will keep an eye on this.. but it was so so comfortable, i reallly felt like a sleep lol! took me sometime to realise that it was set to sport on the suspension!! it was only once we got home that we really realised how much bigger it is than the IS.. got a couple of Q's for any other drivers? what OEM tyres do you have? anyone tried anything else? i fitted F1's on the IS and that was a mistake imo - but am not sure about the Yoko's currently fitted on the H the real important one - this is a SE-L spec and the threshold 'Lexus' badge doesn't light up? does anyone know if it should???? cheers matty

Hello ladies and gents, Our IS is leaving us this weekend and we're picking up a '58 GS 450H :) :) Looked at all the alternatives but nothing compares in comfort/toys and build IMO. So what should i look out for when picking up gents? and how much life can you get out of the tyres, this one has 14K on the clock and 4/5mm on the rears.. Can't wait to pick it up :) Blue and Cream is the color, the same as our IS. cheers Matty

Hello ladies and gents, I've not been around for a real long time, been loving the IS and had no faults lol!! So our IS goes in on Saturday to be replaced with a GS 450H on a '58 plate :) I've got to say that looking at all the normal regular motors of this size did nothing for me, the GS and Lexus are just to well built and with all the toys :) :) Pics after the weekend and if anyone has any thoughts, then cool :)

How did you get on movieguy???? I've been right through all the screens and cannot see how you delete a phone? weird..........

Not bad, but they did leave the drivers mat in a minging condition! it needed to be properly cleaned to remove the boot marks! other than that they've been ok with the washing.....

How do some dealers get it sooooooooo wrong? It's all about expectation and are we wrong to expect a level of service??? Lexus Oxford seem to be sliding the wrong way and have been pretty poor of late. They quoted me for the wrong tyres last week..... basic mistake..... they gave my wife a manual when the IS was in, she doesn't drive manuals and told them many times...... BASICS! My Scooby garage are pretty decent. The Porsche dealer was a joke and just wanted their £100 an hour for fiddling with nothing, and i never got a decent courtesy motor when mine was in. Boxster being the poor one in the family and all that for sure. The VW dealer was truly awful! great sales, but shocking aftersales! The Audi dealer in Oxford was a joke and i actually had a stand up argument with the service manager and eventually got a letter apology! The Audi dealer in Gloucester was great. The Honda dealers in Swindon were always decent. Local Skoda dealer was fantastic and the best i've used.

Quality! and nothing like messing with your pride and joy with the dremmel eh :D
