  1. I also read that the IS430 is going into production as an M3 challenger in a UK cart mag last week, although i was just browsing in Tesco so i can't remember which mag !!:?:
  2. Mad Max 2 is the best by far!

  4. OK, i'd like to join, but before i do, where do i find out what dealers offer discounts? Kam
  5. You'll enjoy picking you car up in the 'delivery room' at Twickenham. Good Luck.
  6. Memory on the electric seats Illuminated buttons on the drivers door Turbo Diesel
  7. I got my SE Auto in Granite Sky in March 2002 for £21,000 with the car mats.
  8. I also have a SE and have never seen these before as a standard fitment. Even the USA cars don't have them.
  9. Links work for me. Show us a pic on the car.
  10. I didn't mean i was getting one to use all the time!!!!!!!!!! I do think its useful for trips down the sticks - anyhting to keep me from having to rub those squashed bugs off!
  11. I agree that the 2002 method of disabling the sensors is a right fiasco, and once you have been through the motions, there is no indication to confirm it has been de-activated. Lexus take note !!
  12. Blimey, i did not know they did those for the Lexus. I think i'll be havinbg one soon. My last trip to Devon left me with several stone chips and a thousand or so bugs splattered around the bumper. The elbow grease it took to remove the bugs was unbelievable. I'll be orderering mine soon.
  13. I don't envy you having to clean a black IS, - better get used to it cos it will need cleaning regularly. good luck.
  14. You think that's bad! My wife drives the IS200 while i drive the 1.1 Fiesta to and from work - Imagine how i feel. It does however make you really appreciate the IS when you get back in it.:(
  15. Mine averages 350 to a tank, i guess the auto box must make a differnce. Roll on the Turbo Diesel in 2005 (Hopefully):flaming:
  16. Hi all, after many months away, i have returned and am trying to catch up reading recent posts. I have a question on the radio system. Can anyone explain the use of the AST (Autostore) button on the 2002 model radio system. The explanation on P 167 of the manual leaves me more confused. I cannot see the difference between this button and the normal preset method? Thanks.
  17. I was told that the mileage was also recorded on a 'second memory'. The assumption being that any changes to the digital odometer would show up if, and when the second memory was checked. I don't know if this is true but it sounds plausible.
  18. Have a look at my reply to the painting calipers thread.
  19. HI There I just painted my callipers last week. – What a job! I was going to use Hammerite paint but having spoken to the manufacturers, I decided against it. It appears that the main advantage of Hammerite is that it does not need a primer and can be used on rusted or other damaged surfaces without much preparation. The downsides are that it is not a heat resisting paint and the lacquer should not be applied until the full curing process, i.e. 6 weeks. From my understanding, if an additional coat of paint or lacquer is put on before the full curing process, the gloss finish will be dulled. In the end, I used Halfords Heat resisting engine paint, with an oil based lacquer over the calliper stickers. It took me four days to complete. Day 1 – Clean and power wash the callipers THOROUGHLY. Allow to dry Day 2 – 1st coat of paint Day 3 – 2nd coat of paint Day 4 - Apply calliper stickers and lacquer Day 5 – Stand back and admire !!!!!!!!!! Hope that helps. Any questions, let me know.
  20. Yes indeed, i'll try to get the thread and et you see the pics. As hard as it is to believe, this guy had them chromed !!!!! Let me know wehn you paint your as i will probably be doing mine soon.
  21. I have a Granite Sky IS 200, the best colour combination i have seen for calipers is chrome calipers with black stickers. However, i will soon be pinting mine black with white or silver stickers. Does anybody have experience of removing the caliper assemblies rather than painting them on the car??? It would be good to disassemble the calipers as the little brassy bits on the shims would look good in their natural colour.
  22. I forgot - I have an Automatic (March 2002) and it is a dream to drive.
  23. Hi, yo u have made the right choice in motor! Make sure you look over the car thoroughly before you hand over the dosh. The IS 200 seems to have a poor reputation for paint quality. Look out especially for any stone chips and have them sorted by the dealer. Also, make sure they give you the papaer with the serial number on for the wheel locks. The serial number is not on the key itself. Otherwise - just enjoy.
  24. Zee007, i have not had mine replaced. The car is only 8 weeks old! I was referring to the many posts on this subject. I get the impression that loads of them have been replaced under warranty! I took my alloys off when the car was delivered, gave then a good polish with Autoglym, and then a further coat of Autoglym supewr gloss. No problems so far - but hey, who knows!
  25. Ricky, why have you not had your alloys changed under warranty if they are corroding? I am waitning for mine to start!
