  1. imagine how many pencils and rubbers this guy gets through :P
  2. looks nice mate (might be time to redo mine!!) - so how did you get the ceased bolt off in the end?
  3. ohh - must have my facts confused!! ....so then shouldnt the uprated hold the bypass open for longer when you put your foot down and therefore give you less power. (sorry if its a silly question -im still a novice - only picked up a little bit of info on this when i was having some trouble with the s/c just after fitting!!)
  4. the uprated spring is to help the bypass not open so easily/close quicker....so check that its not been put in in reverse or upside down or something....and perhaps try and push it open and see it it flicks shut nicely. Edit: ps -mine didnt make a big difference on its own initially- just helped to hold the pressure longer, but then i put it in to a tighter position and now it was gives a little more pull- ie with no blow off what so ever!
  5. just saw the progress on this....mate your cars looking wicked!.... what a transformation from last year... hope to see it in person at some point... :)
  6. phew relief, was worried id have to head to the scrap yard- will get on to dealer and order one cheers
  7. ....mines come off and run away - is it available seperately? any idea how much?
  8. ....see avatar!lol used to play on blue square but didnt have the patience for it 'cos its quite slow compared with playing at home with mates- still hit the odd casino or poker den now and then though.
  9. ....same here!! happened last week - might even be a new bumper for me! looks like its becoming an epidemic.....
  10. nice!- subtle is good :winky:
  11. ...had a feeling the link would be down quickly - must be autotrader deleting it - at least theyre preventing too many people being exposed to the scam! im sure there are other ones to be found.... the link above was an '06 RS4 going for £12k!!
  12. they look practically the same as the sport pedals and no probs with those :)
  13. after looking around a little iv found another ludicrous deal on a different car...at an even better discount than the one i was looking at! link :o and as it happens the contact number is only one digit out from the listing that i contacted (...number disconnected) and the mileage is practically the same!! you would think autotrader would search out these scamers!
  14. i say go with that idea :P ........either that or take up smoking and slowly use each one till its worn out!
  15. …..all good points and now Im sure its a lemon! strangely enough the HPI checked based on just the reg. plate came up as it is the car it says it is- except the mileage is a few thousand out.....which suggests to me that its just a random plate that they’ve seen on this type of car and then they guessed the rest! the email address is _________ @yahoo.co.uk but its nothing like the name shes given its another ladies name. that’s a good point I didn’t even notice that - and I cant find a similar offer on the uk eBay site! -definetly makes sense…out of interest where did you read about seller recieving the shipping cost first, cos by the sounds of it thats the real 'catch' in it. my initial feeling was to go in for a second round of questioning and try to get more proof or just offer a few £K over the odds for her to bring it over...but def. not worth it as theres clearly a lot of holes in the story ( including issues with other bits of information like the phone no ect) and also the listing has been removed probably cos autotrader wised up to it. cheers again really helps to get others opinions :)
  16. hi guys, i emailed her all the questions i mentioned above (... surprised it was a she- wonder if it makes a difference!) - and here is what she replied, sorry its a bit lengthy : i have to say that has left me still quite unsure wheather i should proceed, especially this bit - its very vague: 'I transported the vehicle in Czech Republic because I was aware of the registration and import taxes. ' but i will do the hpi check today - if nothing else just out of curiousity... please let me know if you guys have any other thoughts- and ill post anything interesting that the hpi turns up. :) btw heres what iv found on ebay on car buyers protection - it seems they offer £20k car value cover on frauds!!
  17. cheers for the replies... ...good point -any loc members in the Czech Republic!?lol ...i think thats why i was entertaining the idea more but on second thoughts i doubt the screening on autorader is any better than ebay... I think im just gonna email the guy the following questions and see how quickly and efficiently he replies - and then look in to getting a data check: - Where did you live/work when you were in the UK? - Why did you not sell the car before leaving to go abroad? - What is the registration plate number on the car? - What is the VIN number? - Who would you be looking to ship the car with? - What/who do you mean by a third part transaction mediator? ...i have to say though on looking more closely at cars of a similar spec, the price hes offering is closer to a £15K+ drop - and who wouldnt take a long road trip for that!lol will keep you guys updated on his response :)
  18. Hi all, Iv come across a curious situation while looking to get a new car for the family. Basically i found one on autotrader at an excellent price (for a luxury car) and upon contacting the seller i recieved this response: So it looks like the guys willing to take a several grand hit to avoid having to come back here and sell it. What do you think-possible scam? worth requesting a bit more info?
  19. those do look nice m8- i think an inch or two drop will look wicked.
  20. the only trouble people sometimes have with the b&m is getting it in reverse cos its a bit notchy, so occasional users of the car may struggle a little ...but i got used to it very quickly and found it to complement the s/c excellently, so much so that the car would be alot less fun to drive without it. as for the fitting- i managed it (eventually) and im a novice, but a second pair of hands helps and remember to put the metal and rubber covers back in the right order!
  21. ...theres quite a few lexuses in 24 if i remember correctly - they must match the cool shows with the cool cars!
  22. theres a photgraphy exhibition being held tomorrow!! near london bridge -by the photographer for the indian cricket team - apparently there will be a look at the photos and a meet and greet with some of the team members! more info @: http://www.indiancricketexhibition.com/ someone mentioned this to me - but i dont really follow cricket closely - thought it might be of some interest here. :)
