So you was tailgating at 50? Anybody can go to court and claim they was using GPS so how could you prove it was operable on the day in question. Just my thoughts and im sure the court would ask the same q's. But im sure you wont hear anything.

****UPDATE**** @ 11.04am Richard is still critical but stable,the first person on the scene was a fireman and followed him once R.H passed the safety vehicle and noticed that the parachute was deployed and fuel was shut off correctly,he was breathing and had a strong pulse after the vehicle came to a stop,all safety procedures were followed apparently the reason for the head injuries were due to the fact that the car dug into the grass whilst it was rolling over as it veered off to the right. Wonder if he wore a HANS devise.

I dont think the fact that most drivers now use GPS devises will stand up in a court of law.

As a rule they cant differentiate(spl) between normal traffic and HGV's but there is a devise that sits on top of the gatso that when a high sided vehicle passes through it will alter the speed trigger mechanism to identify that a h/sided vehicle has passed,its a small cone shaped object that you wouldn't see until it was to late,there was one on the A303.

I cant believe the BBC actually allows a presenter of one of their best shows to test a vehicle with so much power? Apparently he had already broken the Speed record but was just doing some extra filming for the show when the tragedy happened. Hope he pulls through.

Did the rd have the markings? If so it will be apparent by the photos (if there are any) that you weren't speeding as each mark represents 5mph,so depending on how many marks showing on the second pic from the 1st will indicate how much (if any) over the speed limit you were. I doubt it will come to anything. :)

Didn't the police have him in their hands 3 times at some stage during the "big hunt" Scaryface....CPO's round my way are not visible after say 4 o/c in the afternoon but if you go into the H/Street they are everywhere and have never been down my rd ever not even in d/light hrs.

Since the introduction of CPO's we have not seen one once round our way after dark,granted you see them through the day on High St's and even car parks...total waste of money IMHO,local cop shops are only 9 to 5 :o .I think all local government services should be paid for those that use them i.e police,fire brigade and ambulance and as for paying extra for the Olympic Games...

Without satnav?............lift up felt padding revealing 4 bolts,then take hold of the seat heater switches the ones with the t/control snow con buttons.....grip tightly and give a sharp tug pulling towards you revealing another couple of bolts.....careful when pulling the whole unit out as you can if not careful scratch the dash.

The point is that hes entitled to hold a central position in the road..its safer than to edge over near parked cars or nearer the kerb, you must of seen the TV advert where a car door suddenly opens and the biker takes avoiding action comes off and slams into a lampost.

Sounds like you want the road all to yourself just coz your in a 60 zone doesn't mean you have to travel at that speed its an advisory maximum in perfect conditions,as he was on a moped(have you ridden one) i doubt he could reach 60 anyway.Ever heard the term "consideration for other road users" or back off from m/cyclists, its in the highway code but i doubt you've read it since you passed yor test. He was in the middle of the rd for a good reason,so idiot car drivers dont push them into the kerb which is far more dangerous. Cyclists,m/cyclists should be treated with the same respect as you would give to seeing a horse on the rd....wide birth!!! Rant over :D

I'd like to see F1 go back to the days of Slick tyres,proper gear changes (actual stick shift) and heel/toe braking/accelerating and do away with t/control....this sorts out the men from the boys :D Its impossible for a driver to miss a gear change with all todays technology. I know its not going to happen though ;) I hope Bruno Senna moves up to F1 with Lewis Hamilton.
