9 out of 10 failures on the Lexus/Toyota engine will be down to no 6 cylinder....they know this too. Im sure you'll find out more when you investigate further. Good luck with it anyhow :)

Same here for me :) Do you have the std aerial?...i ask as some have the jdm one and that is not as good as std.

If the coil pack packed up i would of thought the engine would of mis-fired b4 the detonation?

Why dont Lexus have their own service centres if as you say they are "on their own"....i take my car to a Lexus dealer to have a service but they drive it round the corner into a Toyota s/centre :duh: :duh:

May i suggest you then follow up and do your "final" bit and hopefully see him get his just deserts, as it may lead to another s***bag off our streets.

My cars nearly 6 yrs old and apart from the normal tyres,pads and routine parts for service the only other thing i have had to buy is: a h/light bulb. :D So far no probs with b/joints.

Turn ignition to on position...adjust seat to requirement,then press 1...repeat for memory 2. I think. :) -
How/why mine was £175 IS200,so why the difference?

I cant believe the problems some people are having with the new Lexus IS250 this has only cemented my belief to never buy new...... which is why when i buy a car about a year old i find that most of the niggly problems have been solved by the new owner, its sad to think someone has to go through this when parting with a big chunk of money,but i guess someone has to right?
