Hi guys, need some wisdom please, My Key Remote is playing up (IS200SE) It sometimes dose not unlock the doors, I keep pressing the unlock button, lock & boot open etc. , light flash's but no joy so I manually open the door and of-course the Alarm starts up :tsktsk: , start the car and it stops. It seems to be intermittent. I only noticed this upon my return from holidays when it was left parked up for about a week. I have replaced the battery 6 months ago. Any recommendations of the Type/Make of battery to replace it with just to eliminate it? Any advise as always appriciated, Dibslpg

With advance showing's on the 21st (Saturday) Planning to watch it this weekend, Odeon..(better book in advance) Hope it lives up to it's rep.. :D I followed the original cartoon series, use to get up about 7:30am on Saturdays to watch it on TV, plus I still remember watching the First Transformers the Movie on the big screen after queuing up for about 2 hrs. Sorry to hear about the bump: But look at the brighter side at least you can repair it to a higher spec, If I was you keep it standard has you are already done so, looks sweet and if needs be sell better too. Just note that it’s not all the time necessary fo rthem to written it off (CAT-D), it just that it is not economically viable to repair. Just ask the insurers or better still do a HPI check to play it safe and print it out for reference. :winky: I had a similar shunt a few years back (Honda Legend) and since it was a Honda the parts + labour made it expensive to repair (£3.5k) so wrote it off but it was never recorded. bought it back got a all the main parts from the scrappers (1 place so a big discount) and handed them over to a professional body shop. 1 week later the car looked mint and drove like a dream. (IMPORTANT make sure your car does not require any jigging or the geometry of the chassis is out / bent and hence not worth repairing). Best buy back i ever did: the car stood me at : - original price £4.5k / bought back £800 - parts £400 labour/spray £300 cost £700 on road + new rims £250 pocketed and bought a sound system too + toad 1 cat alarm. Cheers once I remove the Air Assembly how will i be able to tell which Cylinder is which please? The diagnosis stated that: Coil-pack on Cylinder 1 and random miss-fire on 3 & 6, so which is which please? I do not fancy messing round in their since the LPG system is also connected to the Cylinders too. :tsktsk: Going to try taking it apart over the week-end (whether permitting) to see how far I get. Cheers guys, My mates freeware software does the same things has you describe, but the diff is that the dealers DVD which has all the methods of how to fix the relevant codes which are raised by the ODBII package. This makes a massive diff since you can diagnose the error and look it up on the dealers DVD to see what it is + it also shows you, diagram, schematic, where, how and approx time it would take to correct the problem too, which can be invaluable. Main example: his threw up an error code (reading it with the freeware) then he cross-referenced it with he the dealers DVD to find out what it was: Throttle response tensioner, the DVD showed the schematic, and notes on how to replace + tension settings etc.. al the info a mechanic will need to do the job. Prints it out and takes it to the local Mechanic and talks it through with him and he new how long it would take so the he will get the right price for the job too. in no time the thing was fixed and he was a happy lad. It paid for it self in just one job. PS. The hardware and freeware was £60.00 + the DVD was on about £20 (copy) from the guy who supplied him the ODB2 kit off ebay. The best £80.0 he ever spent has stated by him. ( I have already asked him and he does NOT have the Lexus one :tsktsk: ) Let the Lexus software hunt begin..

I brought the ELM323, got it on Ebay from Germany, it arrived within two days. Got from this seller http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ISO-USB-OBD2-Interfa...oQQcmdZViewItem It should be pretty easy to get the fault codes off, all the software I've tried supports that feature. This bit of kit looks great, how detailed does the Diagnostics’ software go? meaning will it give the meaning of each fault code and what it is etc... My mates bought one for his Saab 9-3 (UK seller) and I plugged my Lex up and it managed to tell me which piston was miss-firing as-well has the fuel-mixture to rich etc.. loads of info. He has the Saab DVD (Dealers Diagnostics) and it breaks it down even further by telling him which part and how to even replace it with schematics and diagrams, amazing. I have emailed several guys but no one does the Lexus CD's which is a shame Do you know if the kit came with the software for a Lexus? Cheers Dibslpg.

B/day wish mate, when asking round other mechs, The type of connecter required for a Lex is the ODB2 (standard on most 2000 + makes of cars) and most importantly see if it breaks down the fault Codes it generates:. :duh: You'll know the differnce if the ECT power button is working. Far more responsive than "normal mode" I have been using it today and YES it is more responsive :D :D , so i'm guessing that the Bulb is blown :duh: , will try to take the dash apart over the weekend to see what type it is and buy a resplacement. Hi, Only noticed over the weekend that the Power light is not lighting up on the Dashboard The Snow and all the rest are displaying but no Power, Please help How can i tell is the power mech-side is working fine and that it's only a Bulb blown behind the dash that causing the problem? Or have I lost the only bit of grunt the car's got altogether? Besides pressing it and hearing the engine kick in to overdrive is there any other way of finding out please? Hi peeeeps, My ECT light doe not disply on the dash anymore I realy use the Extra Power button, but needed it the other day, felt the power increase but no light on the dash?? the snow one lights up fine. I hope its just a blown bulb? or is the dash faulty? How can i tell if the ETC is coming on please? Since i am not use to using the button is there any signs, noise that will tell me that the mechanical side is working fine Cheers dibslpg is200 SE Auto..

Suprising that a Cone left out caused the crash, mind-you he was doing around 120mph at the time.. Come on guys if you got the chance to drive this monster, what would you do 10mph?? NOT -- with a twin supercharger 4.7 etc.. guess not too.. :-)

my Lexus Is200 is becoming noisy in the rear lately (knocking) when going over bumps.. I have checked the shockers and no noise when bounced up and down stationary. Checked the callipers/pads etc.. all fine. Had it up on a ramp and the Mechanic bashed the tyre and rocked the rear drivers one, after umm'n arring said it's your Hub Bush. Points to it: sits between the Hub and the Disc it think… Has anyone come across the same problem before? What is one and how much am i looking at please? Might has well replace both rear one at the same time. I need to replace them urgently since my MOT is coming up very soon. Has usual your wisdom is greatly appreciated. Dibslpg.

Hi peeps, :D Need your wisdom once more.. A top Autoelectricain has said that you will be able to swap over the coil pack till you find out which one is faulty . Meaning just replace one and start her up to see if the Miss-fire is cured. If not swap it over to the next one and so on..till you find the one that is faulty. :) Sounds great in principle but having never replaced them before (only use to spark plug leads in the past) IS THERE A GUIDE POSTED ANYWHERE PLEASE TO REPLACING THE TO COIL PACKS. I have tried to look but no joy.. :duh: so can some one please link me to the a guide of have to replace the Coil packs in a IS200 99 model Pleeeeeseee :D Basically this will save me going to the Stealers (dealers) to have it connected up to their diagonis machine and pay over £100 for the privalige too for a a ten min job.. :tsktsk: :tsktsk: . So if the Coil packs are the same then i can just swap over till i come across the one that is faulty, I hope... Cheers Dibslpg..

Mortised Screen has a funny lead called BACK what does this mean please? I have wired up the Screen off the Wiring Harness (ebay Lead using splitters crimps etc..) and connected to the Kenwood player (DVD etc..) Kenny + Screen Working fine on their own but no picture from the HU. . The TV function picks up all the channels fine. The leads coming from the Screens are: Battery (red), IG Live (yellow), Ground (black) and Back (light blue) What is BACK lead please ? Was not sure so did not wire up to anything, no power coming from it so dead. Possibly for the Reversing Camera (the screen has 2 AV inputs.)? Sorry no instruction with the screen hence the dilemma.. Any ideas guys please, and yes I have connected the Video leads up…Has always your help is appreciated. Diblpg
