So How do manufacturers get away with claimed MPG Figures, the CT for example 68 - 70 mpg........ A guy at the golf club has a prius, and hasn't seen more than 58 MPG Average. When you consider a GS300 can get 37mpg on a run at 80mph, I recon it's P**S Poor.

Hoping to hear from anyone who owns a CT, and how the fuel consumption stands up to Manufacturers claims, have heard that 69mpg is not realistic. Is it a good Car, whats it like to live with , etc. Rgds, Tony.

Hi Fellow Lexi owners. Am I the only one still waiting for this work to be done, or is there some huge backlog? Had my letters from Lexus HQ, but still waiting for works to be carried out........ Tatty.

Also looked at the Nissan Leaf...........110 mile Range, All the Toys, 0-60 7.5 secs. 95 top end. 25k (after 5K gov Subsidy) I could live with one of these............won't be to long, though, before there are better alternatives i guess.

Just a quick one, I must admit that I thought this car was going to be a Glorified toyota and not representative of the Lexus Brand, Picture's didn't look inspiring. Yesterday had to have new tyre....and sat in the new CT........It's actually rather good... much Bigger than I thought Too.... and 70 to the gallon.

I spoke to Lexus Lincoln about this last week, who say they are still waiting for Parts!

And ive heard that headlights can fail.........I don't use mine..............neither do I use the remote key fob.....wear's the battery's down!!!!

A 2005 GS cannot play DVD's

Hi, The Cd Player will not play MP3 cd's......Just standard and Audio CD's. The Satnav can be upgraded for input on the move. Why not go for the SE-L...... :winky:

Hi Dude, When I Bought my GS this had already Happened......no cheap alternative.......other than stick the lid back down with Blue-tac..............

Just Stay below 35,000 Feet...

I've been to France 3 times and never bothered......just take ya warning triangle and luminated vests...... I think that on the very rare chance of being picked up on not having a spare bulb, the fine would be cheaper than investing in a spare set of bulbs.

A New Car????

This could be one of many issue's from what I have read in the past......however... During my period of 2 years owning a 1999 GS Sport this exact thing happened 3 times during that period. However on each occasion, I merely stopped the car, switched off, prayed, restarted, and all was fine for Months and Months. See how you go!!!! Good Luck. Rgds, Tony.

" Disagree with the above......and I use Lexus for all my servicing, Tyres, etc. Compared to my Brothers Vectra (UGH!), I pay about a Third more for servicing, So it probably costs me another £300 a year......Lexus even did me a great deal on a new tyre last time £90 + vat............not alot more running cost's for driving a reasonble car........and 35mpg+ on a run. Plus a model like mine, top spec, best colour combination, Black with Beige Leather, you can pick up for less than 10k......................Make me an offer :winky:

Hi Simon, With my GS, if the battery is disconnected I need to reset my sunroof and Mirrors, easily done by putting them through a full cycle. With Sunroof hold down the open button and alow the roof to go thro a full cycle. With the wing mirrors, up, right, down, left....both sides. This puts everything back as it should be,,,,,Merry Xmas, Tony.

Got my recall Letter today from Lexus GB. Apparently I will be contacted by my Nearest Lexus Centre for work to be carried out on the Fuel Pump Wiring Harness. I wonder how many Vehicles this effects! Apparently all affected customers receive an ISF for the Week. ............. I wish :-)

Had a weekend in Torquay......Steady 85mph back to Notts.....few urban detours, few blips ;-). 270 Miles......39.1 to the gallon on trip.

All Sorted Now, Lexus sorted it out during last service, £70 for the pleasure, but squeaks gone :-)
