I had this a few times where i used to live i would park the car far enough away from the bins but yet they still seemed to hit it almost on purpose im sure the window cleaner was worse he droped something at one point and dented the roof of my vectra but never said a word and didnt come back for a few months I feel for you though get a camera set up and cathch them in the act doing scraping it and claim it back from the council...... Mine did this after inspection it turned out i ahd no brakes left....... to much drive was getting to 3 wheels and no drive to 1 wheel wheel the wheel with no pads left if its pulling to the right it will be the left wheel to look at i think mine was pulling ot the left and my right wheel was shot lol Rabs

i think i still have mine floating around somewhere......... have a look when i get home where in colchester are you i just moved to braintree so probs cheaper for you to come collect if i find it lol Rabs

Ok here is the problem i have a screen and i have the diagrams for it worked out its the IS200 Sport Nav screen from following the diagram i have the following connections made ACC = pin 14 12v =pin1 GND =Pin 22 Ign sw = Pin 3 red = pin 16 Green = pin 4 Blue = pin 17 Shield= Pin 6 Sync = pin 5 DTX + =pin 9 DTX - = Pin 21 Wired into the 3 resistors and 2 diode circuit to fool it into thinking the amp is present(dont hink its needed but what the hell) from what i can tell there are no other connections needed i have run a scart wired to RGB output including a seperate sync and still nothing Form my past work on screens and other toys my assumption is that even without there being an image the screen should illuminate in some way to show power but as of yet there is no signs of life My RGB output works tested on a 5 grand projector at work This is the second screen unit i have now and the likely hood of 2 units not working are remote but possible but even if the screen was burnt out etc there would still be some sort of illumination or even the fan spinning at the base of the unit but nothing so am i missing something monumently stupid or is it being a pain for the sake of it at this rate im going to go bald with stress lol any advice before i torch the thing Rabs

OMG that engine bay wiring stav i think you have competition lol glad you got the charger working cant wait to see a pic of the bumper with the Intercooler showing i might sway me to getting one lol have you thought about the gauges yet which models etc ? Rabs

cosmeticly it is lol i think it looks the nuts i will be doing it to my car in a few weeks not really botherd if it makes a huge difference to boost or not but i think wozza did feel an increase i think its covered in his thread ....... Rabs

I unscrewed the screws and saw one end of the ribbon cable (it didn't appear to be loose) but the cable proceeded into the middle of the unit so I couldn't check whether the other end was loose without taking the whole thing apart. Is there a guide to replacing the ribbon cable, as this would most likely seem the cheapest way of proceeding, certainly before trying a new screen, or new entire unit. Hi what size screen is it ? i have a screen which i belive is faulty so once i have tried a new screen if that works for me you are more than welcome to my ribbon cable from the old one i will check the continuity on each of the cores prior to sending if that will help Rabs

if memory serves there are 4 screws that remove the little box on the back where the multi pin connects to it wont come fully away but enough to show the ribbon housing where you can undo it and push it back home again just incase i know there is a walkthrough somewhere on the net failing that i have one on my pc ill dig it out Rabs

well i think i also have a burntout screen the only other thing to check is if you take the whole unit apart and make sure the ribbon cable is properly seated from one board to the next...... Rabs

hmmm i only ask coz there was continuity between the screen casing and common ground where does that ground wire connect to on the screen ..... Rabs

Is the little ground wire important as i know my screen is missing that wonder if thats why mine didnt work .......

definatly sounds like dodgy connection make sure you solder and heatshrink then try again fingers crossed for you patrik

Unfortunatly there not there the bolts between the CAT and Centre Section its getting to the point of cutting off i tried with a hack saw earlier but its in such an awkward place even if did manage the bottom one i dont think i can reach the top one....

As above have a look at wzza's thread regarding ithe intercooler we fitted that in a few hours with only a little modification to the bar in front of the rad (not that important) but very easy with an angegrinder or Hack saw just make sure you paint the area after you have done it Rabs

driling would be easiest if you have a hack saw or file to flat the endge you might be lucky or use a dremel or hacksaw to place a slot in the top of the bolt to which you can fit a screw driver in and try undoing it like that Rabs

before i go cutting them off what size do i need and i will make sure i have some lol

i dont have access to an impact kit at my hoeo at my mates workshop and he is out racing this weekend im thinking ill try and undo the zorst from the base of the downpipe see if i can break the rust there what size bolts are they thread wise i can imagine them being an m10 so M8?? Rabs

How do i get them off i have anew zorst waiting to go on the car but cant get the buggers off spent about 2 hours the other weekend and gave up for a warmer day and tips or is it worth trying to drop the whole zorst of and change the all the bolts once its off by cutting them out with a hack saw or maybe even my chop saw with a rage blade he he Rabs

just been to halfords as they have an offer on cleaning products and saw they do have some v shaped brake pins but will the be pad specific and car specific or universal ? rabs
