  1. The easy way would be to find a Lexus half leather interior, might be easier in some countries then others, but in that case, everything fits nice, and without ripples and all too :D
  2. Didnt take long actually, like 20-25mins if that, I gotta start on the wheels one day... Thats very maticulous haha.
  3. Have seen a few cartoon drawings lately, so though I might dip my (amatuer) hands into it. So this is what I started with, a normal pic of the car: I drew over the same lines the car had on, and brightened the pic till I could see no car, and made it monochrome (black and white), to leave just the outline of the car: Then the easy part, colouring it in :P : Then just putting a suitable backdrop for it, and putting some wheels onto it, to keep it nice and simple, I just used the original background and wheels: Next when I have more time, I will learn how to cartoon the wheels and everything else too :D . What you guys reckon for just Microsoft paint and Publisher? haha
  4. Did you change it yourself? Did you put the separater clips back in properly (the ones that hold the two pads apart when there is no pressure on the brake pads?) Check that first, that would be my initial thought, unless your car has been lowered and scrubs around corners (sometimes depending on cars, scrubbing cant be heard from inside the cabin, but evidence can be seen on tires, gaurds, inner gaurds etc.) Let us know how you get on with it.
  5. Bit off-topic, but which 'kelvar' rating offers the bluest light? Not to fussed with visibility as NewZealand has lights EVERYWHERE, and if there are none, its only country roads which we would use the highbeams anyway. I currently have 7000k Xenon bulbs but they are more white than blue... Im looking for the full blue light. Thanks in advance. Nick
  6. There isnt another equivalent of the RS, the differences are the following: RS auto is 5speed tiptronic, AS is 4speed auto. RS is slightly lower than the AS. RS handles better around corners. RS revs higher, but isn't as smooth as the AS around town. Apart from that, they are the same, they both have the same options, so depending on which one you buy, you could get all the optional extras or not :P
  7. Welcome to the forum (from a fellow newbie to this forum) The Altezza RS200s dont have 'sports' and 'prestige' levels do they IanF? Im just aware of the normal RS200s, RS200Zs and RS200Ls. They are very practical cars, being 4 door makes it so convienent, and huge boot for all your prams (or thumping audio gear :P ) RS200s come with a '3SGE' engine which is about 210bhp stock, so no mods are required to make it run well hehe. Not sure about UK, but insurance here wasn't bad for me (being 19...) Its a pick of the gems I tell you :P , I sold a 2002 318ti for a 1998 RS200Z, and have not looked back since :D . Things to be aware of? The radio lol, and the manual box, its very noisy (with an idle chatter, and a 3000rpm rumble). Anyways, hope you get one, and welcome to the forums again. Nick
  8. Well I'm sure in tiptronic mode it shouldn't be an issue? Just bring a few down anyway and see how it goes :P

If you are after a step by step guide with pictures, look >>HERE<< hehe, very detailed cleaning guide of the MAF sensor for the RS200s (3SGE) B) Or an old thread from this forum can be found >>HERE<<
  10. I'll swap someone their yellow fogs for my clear fogs :P

  12. In most cars the overdrive button will also kick the car down a gear when cruising on the motorway, my partners Starlet GT would go down to 3rd when on the motorway instead of cruising in 4th, keeps revs higher for hill climbing etc.
  13. Only one silver, unless your talking about the dark Gun Metal Grey?
  14. Very nice mate, gold does look good. Time for some springs though perhaps? ;)
  15. Have a look HERE for a simple guide, lots to read about doing it too :D .
  16. I cant help with the TV sorry, but as for the Sub/Amp issue, if you find an amp with 'Speaker Level Input', you can just hook that up to the stock system as it will get its signal from the speakers, rather than the conventional amp which gets it through the headunit. I used this method when I first got into the Audio Mods scene, kept stock headunit and speakers, just added the sub and amp, and since it was in the boot, no one had a clue where it was coming from hehehe.
  17. They look great in Bronze on a blue car :D , now I just gotta learn how to photoshop hehe
  18. Mine does just slightly over 3000rpm at 100kph, have you change your wheels/tires? I've still got the stock sized 215/45/17s, but now run TRD Clutch, TRD flywheel and TRD Pressure plate, didnt know that could have possibly made any difference? :S ... Also my VVTI seems to start surging at 4700rpms (roughly). Very interested to know roughly how many kw@the wheels RS200Zs are. Nick
  19. Haha thanks, the TT Aristo might be now making way to the LS460... :( That means I wont be driving it haha. Just got the GS450H's wheels on the Aristo today :D
  20. Go Optima Deep Cycle, try to get one with the biggest cranking power and as many plates as your wallet allows as it will mean you will not ever have to worry about your battery going flat, deep cycles are awsome, never go dead :D
  21. Sounds good, or if you want you can PM me and maybe set up a date when you will be there and I could possibly organise a day out with the AltezzaClub NZ and join us for a cruise, take your pick of of either an Altezza RS200Z, IS300, Aristo TT, Soarer GTT or my old lady's mk3 GS :D (yes we are a very Lexus/Toyota biassed family :P ) Nick
  22. Thats great to hear, I can start getting hints and tips on Turbocharging mine from them haha (or perhaps stick with the idea of a 1JZ/2JZ. Thanks again for the warm welcome. (anyone else here from the South Pacific e.g. NZ/Australia etc? )
  23. Thanks for your welcomes guys, I hope to learn alot from this forum :D . RS200s common in the UK? Or the AS200s and IS200s more common?
  24. Haha we do actually, hence the bags, to avoid the bumps :D . No dont worry I'm not going to kill the car with bags this time, handles like utter crap lol
