  1. Tyre pressure monitoring is a statutory requirement on all new model cars nowadays, along with daytime running lights.
  2. I have no idea how you guys are getting such high mpg's, unless you are going everywhere like driving Miss Daisy :) I'm not going mad and on a mixed run of town and dual carriageway returning a consistent 44mpg. I'm happy as that is 10mpg more than my GT86 was, but not as good as my wife's Mazda 6 which is returning 47mpg and that's not even a hybrid!
  3. I went and test drove both the IS300H and IS250 the other weekend thinking that i'd end up liking the IS250 more as i'm a bit of a petrol head. However the IS300H was surprisingly good and not slow, so when you look at all the other benefits it has, very low road tax or none if you get some variants, upto 60mpg then it's hard not to choose it over the IS250. Hence why I now have a IS300h on the drive. If you're looking at tuning the car obviously the IS250 has more potential and is easier to tune, but not many owners will be looking for that.
  4. Is that another GT86 owner moving to the IS fold ? Or is it in addition? I traded my black GT for my IS
  5. Well that would depend what price they told you when you discussed the service plan and they tried to convince you to sign up ;) TBH....anything more than £100 for the glorified oil change and checks that most cars receive at an interim service is a rip-off, but all manufacturers try to 'big up' the work that they do.
  6. Just in case anybody looks for this: Intermediate Service: £245 Full Service: £445 These are from Listers Lexus in Coventry
  7. Rather than a service plan has anybody paid for a 10k\12k service and if so what was the cost?
  8. Well looks like this offer managed to hook me :D Test drove a hybrid and petrol IS on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised by the hybrid and should be collecting an F-sport version on Saturday (they need to complete the sale by the end of June). The depreciation is always a big concern on buying new or from dealerships in general and the trade in price they gave on my GT86 was a stark reminder of this but I did get a reasonable part-ex price. The 6k off the new one(well technically pre-registered but it didn't have a plate by Tuesday this week) and 2.8% APR should help mitigate some of the impact of depreciation for me. A pic snapped of it the other night.
  9. So guys is it possible to swap out the awful wood panels from the SE-L models for one of the other type of finishes? I'm assuming replacement panels from Lexus are not going to be cheap, but that wood trim is nasty......IMO !
  10. Thanks for the feedback guys. Seems a little odd that Lexus would let something go on sale with such a fundamental problem, I mean it's not as if you aren't going to notice it. Will probbaly look at it a bit closer with an extended test drive.
  11. Thread back from the dead :D I test drove a 220 on Saturday, as i'm considering it for a company car and noticed within a few miles that the rear view mirror was shaking. I put it down to a quirk with that particular car, but reading these forums i'm concerned that the problem afflicts all 220's. Is this really the case? Will be really disappointed if so, as they can affix the mirror without this problem to a 8k Yaris, why can't they get it right with a 25k luxury car.
