  1. Hi Chris I see you have done the reset , what I would do is disconnect the battery for 10 mins , do the windows and sunroof again . Because you have been fiddling with it , there might be problem that it doesn't know right from wrong 👍 Good luck Jon
  2. Hi Chris Far as I remember it's easy to remove (I am in between cars/lexus'us at the mo) have you tried pouring water on the sensor with a watering can ? Jon
  3. Hi Chris Welcome ! Had the same problem with my intermittent wipe , there is a sensor by the rear view mirror which has to be stuck/flat to the windscreen , if yours has had a new one (screen) they don't always put a new sticky pad on (mine didn't) just buy one and fit , try with a watering can to test . Easy fix 👍 Jon
  4. Hi Seen that , the rx had no chance against the 'ol rangy , for a start the Lexus doesn't have locking diffs , off road tyres etc ..... Although I know which one would be on the side of the road with it's bonnet up ! Plus that quim-ton Wilson is such a patronising t*at . Jon
  5. Hi Long shot , what about running a bottle of engine cleaner , say whynns etc , fill her with full fat fuel (shell opitmax , for example) and give it a good blast before re-test ? Jon
  6. Hi Shot in the dark , but my 05 rx300 started a similar problem , it felt like a prop failing issue (experienced this with a vw Touareg) whipped it to my mate , on the ramp searched underneath, nothing , turned out to be a egg on the tyre where the grip is , new tyre and problem solved . It felt worse at lower speeds Jon
  7. Hi Lexus Chester has no workshop as such , you drop your car off st the dealers door and it's wizzed around the back into the skoda/mazda/Lexus shared workshop . Jon
  8. Hi Try a squirt of silicon spray on the pedal spring , try not to get on the pedal rubber as it could make a lively emergency stop :-) Jong
  9. Hi Takes a brave man to admit there mistakes :-) Well done Jon
  10. Hi You need to have wheels off the floor eg - tyre place etc . You will see , if you have one , the lump/egg when you spin the wheel Good luck Jon
  11. Hi romasato Had the same problem with my 05 rx300 , I thought it was prop failing (had this with a be Touareg) turns out to be a egg on the tread of the tyre . Easy fix , new tyre . Lest us know how you get on Jon
  12. Looking good ! Was the rear diff ok ? As there is a issue with the seals leaking , heating diff up , then bang ! My 2005 with 90k was leaking (well a mist around the rear end ..... Ooooh) seal is buttons . Jon
  13. Hi I had a blocked drain hole on another car I had , I used soldering wire as you have metres of it , it's flexible , strong and thin (depending on which grade you use) Jon
  14. As parrot say condition first ! My rx300 has 90+k under its belt , if you like to look down at a low mileage put the trip display on ! I did , always looks looooow now ;-) Jon
  15. Maybe because nobody knows ! People don't want to give the wrong advice/thoughts regarding something as complex as the air suspension ! All I can say if it is buggered , you wallet might be to , unless you are handy with the spanners ;-) Jon
  16. Hi I am sure you have your reasons , but you will ruin the resale value of your rx ! Jon
  17. Hi If your brave enough to remove the carpet from your car , then a pressure washer will bring it up like new ! Do this to my carpet mats now and then :-) Jon
  18. Ditto , box brownie ! I used kwik fit on my rx 300 and it was spot on service Jon
  19. Tape player ...... Use it as a iPod connection ! Old hat , I know , but it still has it's uses :-) Jon
  20. Hi Don't know why you bother with service plans , just pay as you go ! You can shop around between dealers (main & indys) and strike a deal ! Mate worked at vw main dealer and there was always a 10-15% off (if you asked) Sure there is a small saving , but I just don't get it Jon
