  2. si just the builds were down m8 not the whole install lol
  3. any of you who want any of the things i have put on mine, feel free to messae me and I can put you in the right direction. As for all your comments, thanks to those who see my view, it isnt a silly one, the others ae just a little narrow minded. I dont mind if people dont like it, but no need to slag it off. ta all
  4. The whole of the bodywork including the fitting of the kit, was 3k. and the paint is called rage ecstasy. Been pondering on this thead, not quite sure what to say, whether to save face or dish out my true opinions. But then I realised, that it doesnt really matter what I think, you will all have you own opinions, and will quite happily pick holes in everyone elses pride and joy. Its human nature and to be expected. But, I couldnt care less. When I go out in that car, EVERY single person who sees it is left with their finger pointing, or the jaw hanging. And at shows when we have semi naked girls hanging off it, people dont know whether to look at the car or the girls, I know I have created the best lookin car I can. As for those of you who are quite happy to pick holes in the quality of my craftmanship, then you do so without the knowledge, that a: the builds arnt even finished yet, and b: what is on there was done in two days!!! If ya like it GREAT, if ya dont then............................ <offensive image removed> :( [edit - lets keep it clean eh?]
  5. also, an inquiry. WAS a member.....why are we not now??? or was that a guess that this would "upset" us and we wouldnt want to be part of this forum anymore, or are you rejecting us as members??
  6. ah i see the car been talked about again, what can i say every one has different taste, at the end of the day u must realise that there are now younger ppl out there (ie young professionals ) who can afford to own and modify there own lexus just like yourselves. oh and at gaydon i though i move the car casue everyone was gettign around it and i didnt want ppl sqaushed up, casue my car was parkedd very close to other cars, we dont want any cars to be damaged do we now
  7. mmm try using meguiars polsih gold class liquid was that really good stuff that will bring back the shine use it on my car all the time
  8. fitting the high spolier yes u need to change the torsion springs to the black ones it should come with the spoiler.. they easy to fit...
  9. dont forget the front trd grill , calipers, suspension i have the filter too...
  10. thx mate yes i did have to take out old alarm but i have a new one thats so much better, i now have anti hijacking, i just like to protect my pride and joy i dont want to wake up one morning and the car is gone, or being hijack at some traffic lights they can take the car but they aint going to get far....
  11. I am with wildrenes, Meguiars is the nuts. Will not use anything else on mine. Easily applied, easily removed, and the results are absolutley fantastic. the car looks wet all the time. (using gold class). A word of warning, i have only seent he product mentioned once, but will advise........MER eats lacquer. The reason it puts a nice shine on the car is because it impregnates the lacquer with a glossing agent, which over a 2 year period (of constant use), will bubble the lacquer!!! That info came from the mer customer care department, of which has now cost MER a lot of money in compensation, and forcing them to re design the product!!!
  12. are you after a colour change, or just a blow over?? Because that would require 2 different styles of bodyshop.
  13. i have folding mirrors when i arm the alarm and total closure apart from sunroof but have worked out how to do that :D mirrors fold whne armed and open when key is in ignition or when i remote start it ...
  14. hundreds!!!! the boot in mine, has not even begun yet, it is all working, but cosmetically Sh**e!!! The idea is to do it completley out of glass with a colourcoded backing! Still working with a glass factory to get the glass panels bent correctly!!
  15. I have had no joy running 2 speakers off a handsfree kit amp, but if you say it works, I have no argument. Must just be my luck. Indeed there are downsides to this method of muting, but if you do not wish to change your head unit for a mutable one, this is the only option that I know of. Yeah there are some relays that have different configuration numbers, but that configuration is the most common. Glad there is someone here who is clued up to on this sort of stuff, must have a chat. Are you comin to Gaydon geoffers??
  16. couldnt put it better!! too true geoffers.
  17. Hi all, the easy solution to stone chips is NOT TO DRIVE SO BLOODY FAST!!!! In all seriousness, i havnt a clue about this miracle paint either, but what I do know is that after i had the colour change done on mine, i had it TST coated. Now i can only go on what I have been told, and what is written in my guarantee, but i have a 5 year guarantee that i will not get any stone ships, or bird poop marks in the paint. TST is a teflon coating, which i think is pretty hard stuff. The down side is that it sets you back around 600 squids!!! and tkes 12 hours to do!!! To keep it all shiny and looking wet, i use the meguiars gold class range. expensive, but absolutley BRILLIANT!!!
  18. As said above, the standard lexus cabling is already over spec'd for what they are driving. if you intend to change the speakers fro CONSIDERABLY higher power, and a suitable amp to run them, then it would be beneficial to change the cables. The routing then would not matter, as the amp would be in a different place anyway. The standard lexus amp is (i take it this is an IS200) is behind the lefthand side of the glovebox. To remove the radio, you need to pop the top half of the centre dash off, using a trim tool. Then pull the heated seat switch panel below the radio out, and behind that are 2 8mm bolts. On top of the heater controls under the centre panel u removed will be another 2 bolts. With all that undone, the heatercontrols and radio will come out on a "rack". Will host pics if you need to see them. If you want a vast improvement on your sound, you need to fit an aftermarket radio, or amplifier. Changing the speaker cables will not achieve any great result.
  19. not something that i wish to post on a public forum, as it can be used in the theft of other peoples cars, but it only took around 15 mins. The factory alarm is not very well hidden, and quite vulnerable!!
  20. the amp on the phone kit wouldnt be able to drive the car speakers, i take it you mean cutting the line levels inputs to the lexus amp. in which case, you can just use 2 normal 5 pin relays, and use the diagram at the top of the page to do this. if you intend to use the car kit amp, good luck, it wont do much. u can get a phone kit op amp, which will sufficiently drive the 2 front speakers. if there is enough people who wanna do this, i can do a diagram and post it here if ya like.
  21. i disabled mine, the security of it leaves a lot to be desired. It is really just remote locking with a BOOT MOUNTED siren. It maybe ok for standard cars, but if you have "desirable" mods done, get an aftermarket system fitted.
  22. an easy way round this problem is to use a relay. cut the ignition/accessory wire to the stereo, and put on side of the cut wire on to pin 87, and the other on 87a. put the mute wire from the phone kit onto 85 and 12volts on 86, and voila, you have a phone mute!!!
  23. i have is200 where can i get a facia plate from
