  1. Interesting, pretty sure it works correctly on the GS as the outline on the mirrors is very noticeable but not sure about the other 2.
  2. According to How many left. 595 LS460 SEL 2007 -2012 66 LS460 Luxury from 2012 13 LS460 F Sport from 2013 This shows the range https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=LEXUS+LS+ I was tempted by an F Sport recently but was surprised at the low equipment levels. No sunroof, no radar cruise, no heated steering wheel, no spare wheel.
  3. Stop the roof half way through the opening process to get access and it may be possible to get to the fixings. My lost build thread may have had more pics but there are a few in the shortened version here. https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/112580-sc430-project/?&page=3#comments half way down page 3 and this vid shows how it is put together and how the mechanism functions. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RYttoTtctITry this
  4. I wonder if it fails due to lack of use? I don't have to manually adjust the mirrors very often but use the auto dipping function a lot (on all 3 cars) and I don't recall a single failure. They might need manually realigning after a thorough wash and polish where the glass just needs to be re-centred but otherwise I've found them to be useful and reliable.
  5. I use the Sprintbooster on the SC and the GS. It costs a lot more (around £150) but they do seem to be comparatively well made.
  6. Does the throttle controller have a mode that acts as an immobiliser? My Sprintboosters don't but I seem to remember at least one of the controllers have the feature.
  7. @Glyn Jennings easily solved with a winning prize at the June meet to help verify value at £20k. 🙂
  8. They look great, really suit the car.
  9. As Steve said earlier in the thread, if they are 67.1mm for Maserati then you need 67.1 to 60.1mm spigot rings to mount the wheels snuggly on the Lexus hub and the bolts should be M14 x1.5. so I think you will need the equivalent tapered nuts to fit them to the Lexus studs. Had a quick look at some Maserati specs Center Bore / Hub Bore: 67.1 mm Bolt Pattern (PCD): 5x114.3 (5x4.5) Wheel Fasteners: Lug bolts Thread Size: M14 x 1.5 SC430 Generation: Z40 [2001 .. 2010] Engine: 4.3 L, 3UZ-FE, V8 , Petrol Center Bore / Hub Bore: 60.1 mm Bolt Pattern (PCD): 5x114.3 (5x4.5) Wheel Fasteners: Lug nuts Thread Size: M12 x 1.5 Wheel Tightening Torque: 103 Nm
  10. Yes good for shows and photoshoots but too uncomfortable and risky on most of our roads. I eventually sacrificed a little bit of grip on wide 19s for comfort with the SC rubber. For touring and general use I wouldn't go bigger than 19s. it does make you wonder how harsh the ride is in other marques.
  11. .....and probably some spigot rings if the centre bore is 67.5mm? Very nice looking rims.
  12. I've only done it once and it was very tricky. Try this
  13. I don't ever recall a radio tuner failing so I suspect the coaxial cable isn't connected properly. The antenna may be going up and down but is there a good connection between the head unit and the aerial mast? I would unbolt the head unit to have a look at the connections, then try the radio with the aerial cable in and the cable out to see if it makes any difference. BBC Radio 2 around 88 to 91 usually has a strong signal.
  14. Definitely and curiously very few people caught on to just how good the earlier model Soarer was despite Clarkson's favourable review of it.
  15. .......but you are a rockstar .....in the classic car show world at least.😁 I've watched lots of Kelvin's youtube content. He really knows his stuff.
