  2. Hi Ian,This should help with your starter problems B) Get a12v relay,5 pin,on the relay u should have numbers, the numbers are 86,85,30,87.To conect it goes as follows;86 to earth,85from your starter solenoid [TAKE THE WIRE FROM THE STARTER SOLENOID AND FIT TO 85] THEN make up 1 new wire that will go to the from 87 to starter solenoid, and then put a battery feed to 30. JOB DONE.U will never have this problem again NOTE THAT U ONLY USED 4 PINS. :P TAKE CARE
  3. Terry, Can this be done via the socket in the drivers foot well ( the one in this thread clicky ) and do you know if there is a plug available from Lexus to fit it? Hi, yes it can be done ,but u need a USB SOCKET which plugs into any labtop, and u need the software.that read into your ECU.i have not done a GS But have done a SUPRA which is under the HAND BRAKE cover B) I dont think LEXUS will sell or lend this plug lead,co'z that what they use.this is y most people have to take there cars to a main dealer.i've tryed in the US,and could not get one,and now come end of the year,i'm going to JAPAN ,hoping to get one out there.u can get the software in the US, but that's not a problem B) .The plug in the foot well,u can play with alot ;IE the FUEL SYSTEM etc.
  4. Hi,hope i can help,u can read the codes by using a wire, but u need 2 people,1 to control and check the engine warning light, and the other to bridge TE1 and E1 ON Your diagnostic socket,The CHECK ENGINE warning lamp will now flash a steady on/off ,turn on the ignition but do not start the engine.then bridge terminals TE1 AND E1. if there are no faults stored [0-0] CODE,the lamp will flash 0.25 sec apart,if there are any faults stored they will be indicated by two groups of flashes for each fault code, the first group of flashes signifies the first digit[1-5] OF the fault code and consists of flashes 0,5 seconds in duration.A pause of 1,5 seconds separates the two groups of flashes.the second group of flashes indicate the second digit[1-6] OF THE FAULT CODES and follows the format of the first group.if more codes have been recorded, ther will be a pause of 2,5 seconds between codes.when all fault codes have been displayed, there will be a 4,5 second pause before they are repeated.there are the codes u will need;1-1 ECU power supply;1-2 RPM signal;1-3 RPM signal-over 1000rpm;1-4 Ignition signal;2-1 Lambda sensor;2-2 Coolant temperature sensor;2-4 Air temterature sensor;2-5 Weak mixture;2-6 Rich mixture;3-1 Air flow sensor;4-1Throttle switch;4-2 speed sensor;4-3 starter signal;5-1 switch signal;5-2 knock sensor;5-3 knock control ECU;HOPR THIS HELPS U B) All the best

  15. Hi,just been read into your guys problem, and i had the same problem, and got round it by replaceing pressure release valve on the oil pump, which is only a ball and spring.it can be found on the side of your oil pump.all u need is a 22mm socket, undo the plug, and fish out the spring and ball.in the old day we just put a washer to increase the spring tension, but it don't cost much to renew it.hope this helps B)
  16. Hi, i've got 19'' on mine and i've got 245 x 30x19'' on the front,265x35x19'' on the rear, but i only lowered the car by 20mm,and i don't have any rubbing, even with a full load of human FAT :D .The only thing is to get the right wheel off set.My off set is 37mm to 40mm,but could only get 35mm off set for the front,so i got around this by adding a 3mm spacer.Onthe front 114x9,5 35mm off set with 1'' lip,On the rear114x10''x40mm off set and a 2'' lip.U should also check if your is the some as mine because mine is 2005 GS430 with a big brake pack B) so u might get away with a 35mm off set.Hope this helps B) .

HI,jack up the drive wheels, remove connector from switch, start the car,and put in 3rd gear, put a ohms meter across terminals, and read off the ohms,u should get 16-17,0 ohms at idle speed in 3rd gear,if not ,the switch is ######.Idon't think it's the gauge, they never go wrong.hope this helps B) Hi will i know what the switch looks like it is auto so what about 3rd gear cheers thank you for your help. HT hi,after jacking the car, pull the plugs 1 by 1,and see which plug controls the speedo, and about 3rd, :shutit: after D or drive u should 3 2 1 . U have P .R .N .D.3 .2 .1,by saying 3rd is so that the g/box don't go into high gear or runing gear.if u only have 2 and 1 then u should have a overdrive button then put it in 2nd.all the best B)
  20. Hi,the VSC sensor pick up from all 4 wheels,so the thing to do 1st is to find out which wheel or which wheels it is,then check that wheel, the hub for end float, and if ok then check the sensors and air gap.also make sure it's not caked in mud.all the best B)
