  1. Finally... I've picked up my supercharger kit and I've got nothing else to say than I'm totally happy with it :) Everything was neatly packaged in bubble wrap and the supercharger was sealed with tape. I would lie if I told you everything is brand new, but the most important part is the supercharger itself. I took it to the only Swedish Lexus mechanic who's been working with the TTE superchargers, for his opinion. He told me I should go with this one and I agree. I'm not entirely sure how the charger should look on the inside, but it doesn't look used at all from what I can see. I took a few photos for you to judge. There is some corrosion on the outside, but I can easily rub most of it off using one of my fingers. The airbox is a mk1 model, made of FRP. I spoke to Friedel Beyer at TTE earlier today and he explained what the differences are between the mk1 and mk2 supercharger kits.
  2. Not yet, mate. I've at least discovered that there are two packages, weighting 11,9 and 19,2 kg. I only got the tracking number for one of them, but the other one has arrived here in Enköping. The heavier package arrived in Stockholm 4am today, so it just has a few more miles to go. Hopefully I can pick it up on my way home from work, in about two hours.
  3. asi and I told Dave to hold two of these superchargers for us. Mine left GB for Austria and the other one went to asi. As Markus had already paid for them both asi and I paid him instead of Dave.

  5. I'd say these would match the A/C rings quite nicely: Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  6. My package has now reached Sweden. I really hope I can pick it up today and then decide whether or not to keep it. I will take a lot of photos of all the parts and I've printed out the TTE supercharger parts list to see if anything is missing. This is going to be interesting.
  7. I've recently done all that and it's not hard at all. I've got Infinity 6,5" speakers in the front doors, Infinity 6x9" rear speakers and a Rockford Fosgate Punch stage 3 shallow mount sub, powered by a Rockford Fosgate T400-2 amp. You can find a lot of pictures of the installation in my project thread: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=54957 Cheers
  8. I just got a reply from the German buyer. He told me that his kit consists of both new and used parts. The pipes seems to be new and the supercharger is definitely used. I'm sure my charger will turn out to be used as well. It will be interesting to see if my pipes are the mk1 ones or new.
  9. I just e-mailed Friedel Beyer at TTE, asking him what differs these 'mk1' kits from the newer ones. Edit: I've managed to find a cached link to the TTE supercharger product page on the Prolex website. It clearly says Brand new - http://209.85.129.132/search?q=cache:Mg4Nq...=clnk&gl=se asis supercharger doesn't look brand new to me...
  10. Thanks for clearing a few things up Dave. Please correct me if I'm wrong... the supercharger kits that were just sold are an old version that has only been tested on two cars, of which one blew up?
  11. I just sent him a message and I will eagerly await his reply as well as picking up my kit tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. I just don't understand what Markus did in Cologne if the kits were shipped to him from Dave.
  12. This is what I initially thought: Dave bought the last five kits from TTE and immediately sold them to Markus (Waffenschmiede) in Austria, before they had even left TTE in Cologne. I based this upon the fact that another buyer met up with Markus as he went to pick up the supercharger kits from TTE. However, at least one of the kits was shipped out from Prolex (Dave). I doubt that my kit was shipped from Germany to England, to Austria and then to Sweden. I think either Dave got all the kits from somewhere else or he just had one that he sent to asi. I will contact the German buyer I spoke to before, and ask him about his kit.
  13. I just e-mailed Gerlinde Reinisch and asked when Markus is coming home from Japan. As I mentioned earlier, he hasn't answered any of my e-mails for the last month.
  14. This is the message I got from the German buyer that contacted me: Markus told me that these were complete kits, "the only thing you need is an IS200".
  15. Hello mate, I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment. I also bought one of the kits from Markus Reinisch and I paid for it a month ago. Since then I haven't heard anything from him, despite my five e-mails asking about the status of the order. Today I recieved a reply from Gerlinde Reinisch who told me Markus is in Japan, buying cars. Fortunately the kit was shipped out yesterday and should hopefully get here tomorrow. I've also spoken to another buyer from Germany. He told me that he met up with Markus in Cologne when he drove there to pick up the supercharger kits from TTE. I also thought these were all brand new kits, but now I'm unsure. I'll let you know when my kit arrives. Another thing that worries me is that, according to the Austrian postal service, the package only weights 19,2 kg. From what I've read I understand that this either means the kit isn't complete at all, or it's in more than one box with seperate tracking numbers. Cheers Patrik
  16. No worries :) As I mentioned earlier, I never noticed anything odd. I will check again and take a few more pictures of it when it’s painted and fitted again. Cheers mate :D I would definitely take a close look at your car. It seems to be full of nice gadgets and with its new engine it will be even more awesome. Thank you :) I’ve thought about doing something with the grille, but I’m not sure yet. I kind of like the way its frame makes the grille look a bit smaller and I’m afraid a black frame would just spoil the whole idea of it. I’ve been thinking about painting just the upper part of the frame, but we’ll see when the bonnet is finished. This summer I will tidy up the garage completely. It’s 6,5 by 8 metres but I can’t even get my IS inside it. I share it with my father and it’s full of stuff. A bunch of bicycles, two motorcykles, a big lawn mower, two 125cc karts, a hospital bed, quite a lot of old doors etc. I will take a lot of pictures during my garage makeover :) Until then I have to do everything outside. The coldest temperature I experienced this winter was 26 degrees below zero but I must say I prefer modifying the car in -10°C rather than doing it in just above zero when it’s raining and every bit of the car is covered in mud, salt and slush :P ___________________________________________________ Now to my latest update: I just came home from a week of skiing up north. If anyone’s interested in northern Sweden I can upload a few pictures from my trip :P As some of you know I bought one of the last new TTE supercharger kits some time ago. I was a bit concerned for a while. Since I paid for the kit I haven’t heard anything from the seller. Fortunately another buyer from LOC Euro told me he met up with the guy at TTE in Köln, Germany, last Friday. The SC kits were just picked up and hopefully mine will be shipped soon. Regarding the rear lights, my luck hasn’t changed. I got a new set from California and this time they were the color I ordered. Unfortunately, though, one of the LEDs is broken and the lights seem to be very difficult to open up without breaking them. I’ve decided to return them and just red tint my current LED lights the same way. In two weeks it’s once again legal to fit summer wheels. When doing that I will also fit my lowering springs and my new rear brake discs and pads. The TRD side skirts are also to be fitted the same weekend. The bonnet will have to wait for a while. Every winter road salt and gravel is spread out on the icy roads. This means that every spring all the roads have to be swept and until then you are almost certain to get a lot of stone chips. Also, when it gets dry metal studs from the winter tyres are likely to come off and hit cars behind. I therefore figured it would be a good idea to wait until the roads a swept and most people have fitted their summer wheels again. I’m still patiently waiting for the reverse camera I paid for almost two months ago :P When it arrives I will immediately fit it, as all the cables are already in place. Cheers
  17. I knew my photos of it would come in handy :) Part number: 08590-53020 Cheers
  18. I just paid for my brand new TTE supercharger kit and the shipping from Austria to Sweden is around €200, so I guess it's quite heavy. If you're interested I can weigh everything when it arrives :)
  19. Today I took my car for a spin on the ice. It's currently at least 30cm thick which is more than enough :)
  20. Actually they aren't refurbed. I bought four unused spare rims. I got brand new tyres and used them for maybe 100 miles before I found my Rays wheels
  21. I went for black calipers with gold stickers. I think It would nice on any IS
  22. Yesterday I e-mailed TTE and asked if they still sell these stickers for me to buy. I also wanted to know how many supercharger kits they've sold. This is their reply:
  23. A million thanks for all your comments and advice, and thank you Rolex for the novel you sent me :D I will answer it later on. I visited my parents today and talked to my father about this. He is willing to lend me all the money that is necessary if I help him re-do his garage this summer. I was already planning on doing it myself, so here we go!! :D Tomorrow he's going to talk to my mother about it, but I guess she won't mind. If everything goes to plan I will make the payment on monday.
  24. As some of you know the last five TTE supercharger kits were recently sold to a trader in Austria. He has already sold all of them except one, which thanks to Dave Ellen, he is holding for me to decide whether or not I'm going to buy it. I've got until the end of this week to decide before he lets someone else have it. The price is €2650 + €200 shipping (£2500 total). Would you say it's worth buying it, or should I wait and hope for a second hand one? The thing is i have to make not car related payments of around two thousand pounds next month so I can't afford the supercharger unless I borrow at least £2000 from my parents. If I buy it and fit it myself, what else do I need? I read something about Emanage(?) and an uprated spring for the pulley(?). How much am I looking at? Thankful for any comments Cheers fellow LOC members Patrik Lindblom
  25. Great news, i hope! :) I recieved a mail from Markus (the guy who bought all the chargers). He told mig I've got first dibs on one of the SC kits, Dave told him I'm looking for one. If he doesn't charge(B)) too much for it I might soon be very lucky :D
