  1. Hi Guys I bought some wide angle LED's 501 bulbs from ebay http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...em=260265668499 - £ 3.00 incl. p& p Not that bright in the day but good at night - but I never drive on sidelights anyway so for £ 3.00 couldn't go wrong.
  2. L3xDan - if you check Albin Motors address on google or streetmap there is an overground station literally 5min walk away - Lower Sydenham - may help with trip home & back etc.
  3. This a Lexus specilaist that I have been too and would recommend but may be too far from you. Albin B Motors Ltd, Unit 2b, Maybrey Works, 2, Worsley Bridge Road, London SE26 5AZ Contact : Kevin Barnett. Tel: 020 8650 7080 Email:albinbmotors@btconnect.com
  4. Hi Guys I noticed last night that the driver's side sidelight has gone. I recently fitted a HID kit for dipped beams (well impressed with) but am thinking if any recommendations for upgrading the side light bulbs - Led's or halogen etc & if anybody knows the bulb reference - tried a search on forums but could not locate the thread were one helpful member posted all the bulb references. Any help appreciated.
  5. Hi guys - I had a similar problem, red handrake light on dash would come on but when I finished my journey and started the car again the light would not be on but might come on later during the that journey. Not come on for a week now but will check through lights as mentioned in earlier posts - fluid level & brakes all ok. Cheers guys
  6. Linky here they're £8 and come in white, black, red, silver & gold :winky: Cheers Janey - much appreciated.
  7. Hi again - like a bad penny - lol Heard that LOC has these decals and wonder what the cost is and colours available for IS 200 calipers. Cheers.
  8. Hi Guys Any recommendations on a wheel rim repair kits - a couple on ebay but am enquiring if anybody used them and results. My rims have a few scrapes so thought I might give these kits ago. Cheers.
  9. I went for the 6000 as I understand you could be in trouble at MOT time if above this & also the lights go a more blue colour the higher you go.
  10. I bought a similar one of ebay from a guy in UK but the diameter was too small (80mm) for my IS200 - was only a £5 incl pp so gave it to a mate who's exhaust it would fit. I contacted him to let him know that it should not be listed for IS200 - to be fair he said he would take it back but I said I would keep for somebody else.
  11. Hi guys - I have a IS200 SE 2001 and was wondering if anybody hase a spare cigarette lighter - I am willing to pay as want to modify it. Thanks in anticipation.
  12. Hi - I have fitted HID conversion kit to my IS200 SE 2001 - and have added post & pics on here - not sure how to copy link to post but it is called 'Fitting Hid Headlight Conversion' dated 8th June under my name of TomC27 - so maybe you can just check through my posts or do a Search on HID Conversions - hope this helps. Very easy to install & a recommended modification.
  13. Just used them last night (Sun) - brilliant ! Literally - lol Am well impressed with them and agree that one of the better and useful modifications.
  14. Hi Rabster - yes it was new through this site on a discount offer - £ 110.40 incl pp Jason_I - yes nice location (nice dash dials) - just prefered in centre console for me as like to remove from car and can hide the cable easier when not in position. Looking forward to playing with the new tpy - lol
  15. Since I bought my IS 200 in late Jan I have been looking for a chrome trim - tried ebay but no joy - Halfords are the only place I could find a trim of 80mm diameter. The one I bought was about £ 15.00 - needed to to some modifications to the bolt fixings - shorten them and remove a fixing bracket on the trim which was easily unscrewed. Pics attached. Before Chrome trim fitted
  16. Bought the Scangauge through LOC - delivery was next day. Pm'd one of the guys on here to locate OBDII connector - just below bonnet release catch in driver's footwell. Had to remove the central console section - don't panic - just lifts out - gently pull upwards where ashtray removed from - unscrew gearknob and it slides over gearstick - you can leave wires connected - cig lighter etc. This gives you access to rear 'pocket' of console and wire can be fished from footwell through an aperture in rear on console. Took me about an hour - had a bit of fun fishing the cable but could be done in about 30 minutes now. Have attached a few pics. Note - If you remove the Scangauge from the car - when you reconnect it make sure the car is running or the ABS light starts to flash. Central console section lifted out. View of rear of pocket to console showing aperture - right hand side for Scangauge cable. Scangauge installed.
  17. Hi Guys Had this Saturday free so went and fitted a few mods HID's, Scangauge, Exhaust trim. This Topic is for HID Conversion kit. Really easy to fit - bought from www.hids4u.co.uk £ 99.00 + pp = £ 104.00 total - I went for the 9006 range 6000 brightness HS4 bulb conversions. Took me about 1 hour but was being very cautious and checking everything as I went along. (Could easily be done in half an hour now as I know the routine) Only problem was no double sided sticky pads in kit - phoned and they had none in stock but will send cable ties !! I went to B&Q but none - helpful guy there said try Halfords - number plate fixings - ideal. (I bought to 2 packs £ 2.49 each but you could get away with 1) Have attached a few pics. Instructions recommend a 'dry' run of installation to check bulbs etc. well worth it - all OK. I fitted them and did not work - no panic - all you need to do is turn the connection into the existing bulb fitting - bingo ! If you need any further info pm me no probs. Only difficulty was on passenger side - a little tight for space so undid the existing indicator bulb and front sidelight bulb so that loom could be moved to allow greater access to rear of dipped light. Plenty of cable length on kit so mounting was easy against suspension turrets. Drivers side ballast location HID Kit plus sticky pads Passenger side Indicator bulb & sidelight removal for access to dipped bulb Passenger side ballast location Passenger side wiring
  18. Like you I found ABM great. Kevin is a very helpful guy. I had a 100,000 mile service (at 93,000) as wanted cambelt changed, waterpump checked - they did this and Kevin phoned me to say waterpump was ok but did have bypass hose changed. They informed me that my front shocks were leaking and Kevin emailed me costs of various types _ I selected a set and I returned the following week to have them fitted. All sorted and no grief (apart from in the wallet - lol). I have recommended ABM in the relevant section (I do not work for them !) and would go back there for any future servicing, repairs or MOT.
  19. I have an IS200 2001 reg. which shows the fuel nozzle on gauge on the right hand side (drivers side) but the fuel filler cap is on the passenger side - so not sure if this theory is correct unless my gauges were changed !!!!
  20. Really cool looking calipers - nice work Wozza !! Get's me in mood to do mine - black I like !
  21. I had an Alpha 156 (am feeling better now thanks - lol) which the battery would run flat after a week if not used - even with a new battery - found it to be the after market alarm system - (installed on car when I bought it - well recognised make) - I got around it by disconnecting the battery when away for longer than a week - this worked - not sure of any implications of disconnecting battery on your vehicle.
  22. I beleive my 2 button key is a slave/valet key not a master so as I understand I cannot use that programme in 2D's link as that requires a master key. I am trying to locate a company that can programme the key as well if possible - thanks for your responses. If I manage to find will post details on here.
  23. Probably been covered previously but I have bought an uncut 2 button key case plus a used 2 button key for the transponder & other key internals from ebay. Am enquirying if anybody knows where I may get the new key cut and programmed (do not have a master key - as the one I have is a 2 button key - just doing this so I have spare) - ideally in the Surrey area or nearby if possible. Thanks in anticipation.
  24. Like other posters have mentioned - I had the waterpump checked (was ok) and bypass hose replaced when timeing belt was changed at 94,000 recently.
  25. Hi bashaga I used the following garage for new cambelt, full service and front shock replacement on my IS200 2001 reg. & found them very good and competively priced. I am not sure if they do bodywork repairs but sugest they are worth a call. Albin B Motors Ltd, Unit 2b, Maybrey Works, 2, Worsley Bridge Road, London SE26 5AZ Contact : Kevin Barnett.
