  1. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unless supercharging (looking at over £2K) or turbo charging, you are barking up the wrong tree trying to make IS200 go faster, If it was the styling of the 200 that you liked you could try trading in for a altezza or IS300, that's about your options i think, you can make little differences with induction kits, de-cat, big x-orst, plugs & your "chip", but this will start to mount up, with little gain.
  2. That's some tidy work done mate, looks the biz - now go cut the grass
  3. What's your max your willing to part with B)
  4. +1 on the return to dealership you bought it from If you bought it private, rip it out, smash it with a big hammer, then go get yourself aftermarket headunit, fascia & harness, it's the best thing you'll ever do. Welcome to the club by the way :winky:
  5. Hi chaps, Thanks for the welcome. :) Re it being a Sport though, is there a sure fire way of determining if it is or not? Would it say on the log book? edit. I see that it has the two tone steering wheel, tinted rear windows, sports pedals, spoiler. Graham Just searched the reg on it, and it comes up a sport! happy days, log book will confirm also, obviously someone preferred the SE grille (each to their own) but 2 tone steering wheel = SE or sport i think (someone will correct me if i'm wrong) Tints can and often are done aftermarket Aluminum pedals = SE or sport Rear spoiler was an extra available on all 200's
  6. Hi bud, welcome to the club, that looks like a nice clean 200, decent price, 2 owners, good milage for 2001, service history, but not sure if it is a sport tho, it may be, but there is no sport bodystyling, sports didnt come with any bodystyling, kit's were all extra on any level of 200, it only has a high level boot spoiler, it's stance is pretty high and i think that is the grille that comes on the SE that is on the front of that motor, maybe the sport one was replaced with that?????? But check there is a master key (3button), take a couple of cd's with you to try the stereo, and dont freak out if it has a crunch going into 1st or 2nd gear when cold!!!! If no trade in maybe even pick this up under 3K. Happy viewing. Deckie.
  7. Wow Nick, Thankfully you get allowance for your maintenance, take the sting out a bit, and i was licking my wounds at laying out over £1500 on mines just a couple of weeks ago, 4 new tyres new battery 4 new lowering springs 60K service, timing belt & replace all fluids MOT Road tax But that was the first money i have spent on my car in 2 1/2 years outside normal servicing costs, so i cant complain really. Hope you have hassle free motoring for a long while now Nick.
  8. I sold my near perfect 17" alloys with tyres that had only been on a month for £200 to a fellow member, but that's the decent guy that i am, and what club's are supposed to be about.
  9. Remember Ross, dont fit the grille without re-positioning the horn's first :winky:
  10. That cant be bad for bumper, mesh & spot's!!!!!!! Sure Asi is after one!!!!
  11. Nice looking motor & nice wheels you've picked out. but............ I agreee with lexynik, go for 18's if you can get them that size & fittment. I have (claimed) 40mm lowering springs off ebay, they fit well, no problems with them and i have 18's with 225/45 tyres (this will help fill the arch space up more) no rubbing prob's & no arch rolling done

  13. Nothing worse than the way you wasted your time, i had the ame done to me recently when buying a old jeep, it's ignorance, bad luck mate, is taking one accross the water not an option???? loads of good ones over here.

  16. I just sold my 17's, very very good condition with tyres that were only used about a month to another member on here, for £250, allthough it prob cost me near £50 on fuel to meet him halfway, but that's just the decent sort of guy i am
  17. has not set their status

  18. Never too late, welcome along
  19. Auto with buttons on the wheel, 5 - speed spec sheet
  20. It's called smart-glass, just ordered it for my extension windows & doors, expensive, but i just had to, thought it better than built in blinds, That could be Parthiban's answer, shut the blinds on your car windows for privacy, open them up for reversing - Sorted!!!! could start a new modifying craze
  21. Torque would have been my 2nd guess I just remember reading somewhere that standard 200 should have 125 bhp @ the wheels, and that line seemed to be about 125. I put 2 + 2 together & never ever get 4
  22. You got it mate, And changing the stereo is a good plan as it will s***e itself anyway, Welcome to the club, happy
  23. That's unexpected!!!! good result mate, is the second line on the graph bhp at the wheels????
