  1. I use Armour-all tyre dressing, it will last a week if the roads are not too dirty (pointless right now), it comes in the spray version, but the first thing i do with it is empty it into an old coffe jar and throw away the spray thing and apply from the coffee jar with a long haired paintbrush. That's the forward.
  2. I agree with Paul, the change of engine noise you are picking up on at that revs is prob clutch slip as the "power band" is normally higher revs, 4 - 4.5K, i find it strange that the clutch has gone at 65,000 miles, i think the previous owner has clutch control issues, a clutch should last alot longer than that if driven properly. I also agree with Solhatt about your error 1 code, this was the problem i had with mine, switching on / off, or ejecting & replacing disc sometimes rectified it, but it only happened on my stereo when playing copied / burned disc's, original cd's played fine on mine, if you are using original cd's and having this happen, try a lens cleaner disc to see if this helps. Welcome to the club, hope you get your early setbacks sotred soon.
  3. Nothing worse than the filling / sanding / filling prep, but that's what makes the finish, coming on now bud.
  4. Yep, i have the same 1st to 2nd, worse when cold, been there since i got the car, never got worse, wont get better, just one of those things i think.
  5. Quite alot of guy's are sporting 19's on their 200, some have rolled arch's & lowered (mr mole), so it's certinaly do-able Rez
  6. Best of luck with the new motor, glad to hear the Lex has been good to you also :D
  7. Welcome to the club, Hope it lives up to your expectations :D
  8. There are quite a few tezza owners, most seem to flit between here and tezzaworld. link
  9. We had a Lorry (yes a lorry, but similar circumstances) into the body shop which had run the front brake shoes on one side to the metal and ended up with rusty metal embedded into the whole side of the cab, we power washed, wet & dry sandpapered it and t-cutted the white paintwork back to it's best. had to rub for ages with the paper and luckily didn't rub thru to primer, no painting required, but - the plastic arch's, passenger window & window rubber wern't so lucky, couldnt remove all traces from them, never seen the owner of the lorry again, but i bet he has rust showing on these areas!!!!
  10. I very much doubt it, but - if you dont ask, you dont get, Get your brass neck on and go and try a dealers :D
  11. I was offered 4K trade - in for my 2002 Sport a couple months ago, wasn't looking to change, just wanted a shot of a Focus ST. No chance of you trading it in against something????

    Hello

Hello & welcome, I take it you are a car serivicing & dealership company, always handy having guy's in the trade on here :D
  13. Surely the fault can be traced by swapping plugs and leads around the cylinders to see if it follows to another cylinder or remains on no5, i do not know from any personal experience but have read that fault code can remain for up to an hour if the ecu is not re-set after a repair has been made. but hopefully someone in the know will confirm / correct me on this.
  14. Welcome along to the club mate, but giving up a focus ST and coming to Lexus, loosing out on power, not saving on feul :D There is a set of uprated disc's for sale in the parts section im sure. EDIT - Unsure if Locky has bought these or not yet brembo
  15. Good on you for sticking with the badge Col, Hope you enjoy the new motor, hope it's one of the good ones, and a wee drop of sudocream should help the smarting
  16. Glad to hear the IS was hassle free for 4 years, best of luck with the BM
  17. WOW!!! your lucky, I'm jealous, Welcome back aboard
  18. No mate, you have to take the horns off their current position and move them down to the crash bar so they are not in view thru the grille, you can see where mines have been moved to in one of the pics. link New bolts & washers are needed, but the wires are long enough.
  19. Click on the grille link in my last post, the underlined one
  20. been looking and found no walkthru on this site, found this tho Remove rear lights - lights i seem to remember another screw on the inside, but unsure, cant check, offshore at the moment. Remove rear bumber - link There is a small clip, that's easy broken that holds the bumper in to the rear quarter, cant seem to find a part number for it tho, hopefully someone will come along who can help.
  21. Spark plugs should give alot more life than 10K, alot of the times we would just clean them up aslong as there is no signs of damage / wear, what about iridium plugs, they're supposed to be the best, and go for ages, expensive tho! And maybe K & N panel filter, never need to buy another air filter again.
  22. Apart from Rear tints & grille, some lower springs is the only difference in looks. EDIT - Move the horns when changing grille.grille
