Got mine from ebay for $200 :) Was kind a lucky actually just took about 10 min from i decided to buy one until i had bought one.

I think they have improved - the winter set I have on order (for delivery this week - yay!) are V speed rated, which is up to 149mph. So I think the temp issues must be resolved, you'd have to be insane to drive at >140mph in icy and snowy conditions! Actually yesterday i was doing 180kph on ice/hard packed snow. Some of the roads here are in better condition in the winter than in the summer :) -
£ 600 for 16'' steel alloys and winter tires? The rubber tends to get harder after a few years and non studded tires doesn't work that great when the get harder(still works better than summer tires tough). So i don't know how cost efficient it would be. Taking the bus would be a lot more efficient :)

I wish i could be in the uk with my car :) Then i would laugh at you all and then i would laugh again when i got back in my car and drove nicely away from you. I have studded tires and only conditions i have to be extra careful is around 0 degrees on wet ice but other than that i still drive with a heavy right foot.

Stop whining guys :D You suck! Summer tires on snow will always and ever be crap IS 200 is a great car to drive when using winter tires and trc+snow button on (don't even have to mind how much throttle I apply)

cheers mate iv just been looking at the internet and i was wondering if this one would fit my is200 and would there be any problems with an amp by pass cable im not sure if mine has an amp lol.The model is a PIONEER AVH P3100DVD.Any thoughts on this unit would be greatly appreciated. Premium system has amp :) Easiest way to tell if you got a Premium sound system is if you get in your car and have a look under the volume button and if the text say Lexus Premium sound system then you have a amp IS 200 SE and Sport have a Premium system

Isn't it better to sell the car? Snapping a belts = £££££ As far as I know the the valves will stop when the belt snap and damage the engine badly
