  1. The only realy big problem is a common fault on the Mk2 GS models and that is the brake master cylinder £2000 plus fitting from the main Lexus dealers I have just had to replace mine at 88525 miles but they don't usualy go until 100.000 miles plus, just something for you to consider because unless it is already faulty you will not know.. I bought my car at 87575 miles and it was working fine and only did just over 700 miles and it packed up so no alternative but replace it because it is not saleable in that condition. When it is ready to pack up you will get a buzzer going off with VCR-VCR off and ABS lights showing. Norman
  2. Yes tried them but only had two replies they don't seem to want to have the hasstle of taking that sort of thing off (It means they have to bend down and get there hands dirty)
  3. Just a point I have not mentioned the one I have on the car works OK but when I bought the car I noticed it would not clean the headlights when I had a look it just has the rubber part on the front missing that comes out when the switch is activated
  4. Lexus parts Swindon £211.00 online breakers yards £115+vat ebay breakers £90+vat +delivery. The trouble with most of the breakers I have asked for a photo and some have been happy to send one but I would not give them 20 quid for them (Rust and covered in muck they couldn't even be bothered to clean them for that price) I have not got much time for the breakers because they pick up the cars for peanuts and then shaft us on second user prices.
  5. Thanks Stevie I tried to find the diagram for the IS models but couldn't and as you say they look different and the part numbers are different so I will have to keep hunting. Very helpfull once again thanks buddy (be lost without you so don't go and buy a Merc or anything silly like that) LOL Norman
  6. Hi All Does anybody know if the IS200 headlight washer actuator fits the GS300 there are always plenty of IS ones on ebay but not the GS ones, this is a picture of the IS one
  7. I must get a life that should have been the snow switch not the sport switch as that pulls you away in 3rd gear to give more traction but I expect you have checked that as well
  8. Silly question but you havn't knocked the sport switch on by any chance
  9. I have tried the breakers online and they want over £100.00 for naff looking rusty old things, the problem with the breakers is they find out the new prices and then price theres accordingly.
  10. If I buy from abroad I always use Paypal in fact I use Paypal all the time because if you did pay by Paypal put (Item not as described claim in)
  11. I would never buy something for that price UNTESTED if it does not work you don't have a leg to stand on regards getting your money back. Happens quite often on Ebay it is a good way to get rid of your non working rubbish.
  12. Hi All Can anybody give me the Lexus part number for an offside headlight washer actuator, tried doing a google etc but these search engines can be a complete waste of time if I put Lexus in I don't want pages of stuff not relating to the question I asked Cheers Norman :duh:
  13. Chipsaway match the paint to the car not the code just had my wheels refurbished and asked the boss, touch up pens don't you buy them on your colour code. I know this for a fact as my car silver 199 has 5 different shades (Yes stupid isn't it) I went to a supplier that does touch up pens and aerosol and he said you will only be able to buy the standard and I tried 3 different places I did buy a standard and it was too light, I was told to get a good match go to a spray shop
  14. Sounds like a nice guy?? one to steer clear of I think
  15. Sorry Dan regards the repeat of the private property thing I must have been doing my thread as you were in the process of posting yours.
  16. I think you will find the carpark is classed as private property so the police will not be interested, it will be classed as a civil claim if you get problems with her. People that do as she has done really annoy me it makes you feel like giving there car a bit of damage as well, I know two wrongs don't make a right but just a bl---- selfish driver. Norman
  17. As Malc says chips away, touch up pens are a waste of time and money tried them and you cannot get a good match Norman
  18. Any tyre dealer can fit them that is what they do for a living if you let Lexus fit them you will have to pay a lot more than a tyre dealer.
  19. I bought mine from this guy for my GS300 and they are fine but take note you get what you pay for whether they last as long as genuine Lexus I could not say.
  20. I used to have Mercedes but no one will get me to change from a Lexus so I know what you are feeling LOVELY CARS :winky:
  21. I am not actually sure if it is the oem spring, the guy i bought it off was a bit of a numpty and didnt know, I dont think it is the oem spring, I would prob be best getting all 4 replaced, You should never fit second hand springs or shocks you are asking for loads of trouble with instability.
