  1. No worries Michael,hopefully it's nothing too serious 👍
  2. Sadly I am not sure of the exact size even though I did own two IS200's in the past
  3. Welcome to the LOC Andrew, hoping you find the forum educational and informative, having said that you probably should have gone for the IS250 instead but you probably have your reasons
  4. If yours is a HDD grace note like mine, then sadly its main dealer only and is done via the usb so no disc, and can cost anything from a hundred quid upwards
  5. Could be a blow in your exhaust, petrol cap not tightened up properly or something more serious like your catalytic converter on its way out
  6. Furthermore its normal for this to happen especially when left standing ok
  7. Thanks Tel,so will have to modify the boot floor cover if I want to put a full sized wheel in the spare wheel well
  8. Congratulations 🥳,my take is you look after a car its looks after you,you abuse it,it will let you down 👍
  9. How long have you had the car for and has it been any different?Personally I think its about normal
  10. I might be wrong but I think the suede/acantara seats were introduced with the f sport in about 2010.If you are lucky you might find one in manual but most are autos, good luck in your search 👍
  11. Don't forget that these cars are now getting on for anything between 15 and 21 and a bit more years old, cost over £300 a year to tax if registered after the tax changes in 2001,cost about £90 to fill up with petrol.A bit of wd40 would probably cure the washer jet issue. As you are probably well aware they are not the most economical cars and you are probably looking at about 400 miles or thereabouts to a tank of petrol depending on driving style
  12. Except you have friends in the car repair business that are willing to give you a hand if and when you break down,I just think it's a no brainer having breakdown cover(which you can tailor to your needs)as if you don't and you do break down it seems to cost an arm and a leg to get anyone out to you and usually costs more than what you would have paid for the cover in the first place 👍
  13. Unfortunately waste of money or not, people seem to crave the latest technology and gadgets (whether it's in trying to keep up with the jones or otherwise)and seem attracted to them,so there will always be the desire to have them.In the general scheme of things do we really need them?the answer generally tends to be no, while on the other hand do we really want them?the answer usually seems to be a yes
  14. The cambelt interval was revised downwards to 60,000 miles or 6 years whichever came first. The sports model was probably introduced in 2001 as my 1st lexus was a 52 plate IS200 sport
  15. Hi all,is the spare wheel well cover/boot cover different on the earlier 250's (2005-2009) when compared with the 2011?or have they remained the same all through the years?any ideas?
  16. Apparently you can have them fitted to the new ES as an optional extra at a cost of £1600,so they are not going to be cheap to replace if damaged 😭
  17. Furthermore chances are you will probably need more than just the audio system/stereo to get the sat nav to work properly. In other words make sure you buy it complete with the wiring loom etc
