  1. As far as am aware it will free up the wiper blades/arms only as Ford own the patent for the heated front screen, hope this helps
  2. Am not having a dig but it does baffle me when people try and cut corners what's the point in changing a cam belt and then not changing the idler and tensioner false economy !!!!!
  3. yes it should have been changed at least once at 60,000 miles or 6 years whichever came first,so if that is anything to go by it's more than likely due another change anyway.Price seems reasonable too
  4. Point of correction, cambelt change is not 100,000 mls or 10 years,it's 60,000 or 6 years whichever comes first
  5. except I take mine out,not sure which side you put in first, however try putting the tyre in by placing the side facing the rear lights in first(in a slanting position) and you should be able to push the edge facing the rear seats in,if that doesn't work try reverse(put the edge facing the rear seats first).hope this helps
  6. if you have 225.40.18's they will fit your spare wheel well, however there's a trick to getting it in.
  7. Personally I would not use Kwik fit for anything apart from tyres and exhausts(if at all)not a fan of such places
  8. Does anyone on the forum still own RE 51 UZA
  9. hi just to let you know that some leds are not dimmable, and this probably explains why nothing happens when you use the dash board dimmer switch rather than it being a fault with some relay.
  10. lol they do fit as I have got a 225.40.18 all round including the spare tyre
  11. point of correction 18 in do fit in the spare wheel well.
  12. no probs glad to be of assistance, please let me know if you eventually get it sorted
  13. looks like you might have a faulty boot lock then or like I said earlier that the boot lock might have been changed at some point.
  14. that's strange because mine works,do you have a manual release level?have you tried inserting your key in the boot lock with the boot open(using the fob)and then try turning the key clockwise?
  15. hi pm'd you the name and number of a Lexus breaker
  16. just been out to mine and put the key in the drivers door and alarm went off, opened door and pressed the fob and alarm stopped.Try inserting key in the boot lock with the car unlocked and turn the key clockwise slightly this should open your boot.
  17. Okay, if that's the case there is a distinct possibility that your boot lid my have been changed at some point and possibly that the lock wasn't swapped over(as this would explain why your key doesn't go all the way in nor turn).Out of curiosity does your key open manually open the drivers door?
  18. is your IS300 a mark1 please?
  19. if you want to fill up the whole number plate space, you could use the back number plate for a rover 75,
  20. A 2002 manual IS 300 really?? as far as am aware they only came to the UK in automatic form so no manual gearbox
  21. Hi your first port of call would be to check the condition of your pollen filter and it's dirty have it changed(as one of the two contributors to your thread has suggested).A filthy filter is usually the main culprit of the stale smell.good luck
  22. yes it does, mine is on a private plate and it shows the full m.o.t history
  23. by the look of it tax ran out end of May 2016,but is mot'd till January 2017(ref black ford focus)
  24. hi you should have changed it long before now,it's 6 years or 60,000mls whichever comes first. I had my 1st cam belt change(including idler, tensioner water pump etc) in 2010 at 55,000 miles and my 2nd change in 2016 with 79,000 miles on the clock(my car is a 2003)
  25. To start with the stereo and sat nav are by and large two separate bits of equipment.Your sat nav not working has nothing to do with the error 3 code you get on your stereo. There could be various reasons why your sat nav doesn't work for example it could a faulty reader(module)-this is located in the boot and is your sat navs source of information, could also be that the reader has no disc.To be honest it's difficult to say what your actual problem would be.
