  1. I'll second this. I think this has been a good idea and it would be a shame to cancel it, especially considering the effort that the contributers went to.
  2. Same here. Have used autoglym twice now and not impressed. Have to try one of the above.
  3. I was worried about this when I was looking to buy, couldn't get the seat low enough in the showroom. Advice from Supracharged was to raise the front mountings (as previous post(s)). Raising the front of the seat apparently lowers the seat where you sit. Went ahead and bought my car and found (with a bit of messing about) a comfortable driving position which has been OK (about 1" between my head & edge of sunroof). I also found newer (post 2001) IS's seem to have a bit less room than older ones.
  4. Rodders - could you send me the template as well. Not many members in Devon but do see a few Lexi about.
  5. Tony (40+) & Penny (40+) Engineer currently working for an optoelectronics company in sunny Devon. Originally from Tasmania. Had my lex now for 3 months. Sports grill & painted calipers - chrome stickers this weekend. Spare time - walking, cycling, computers, electronics & beer
  6. Mine does this as well. I did some 'experiments' and found that it usually only happens while braking at low speed & turning sharply (into my drive). Put it down to brake pads moving against the (brake) pistons. I'm going to try a bit of copperslip on the back of the pads next time I have the wheels off.
  7. My clutch judders & I've been told by the local dealer that there is no problem I bought mine from Swindon as well, going to see what they say 'though not holding my breath
  8. Exmouth is good for me - mines a '99 with an extra flake Claire / o0O555O0o let us know when you'll be around.
  9. Slightly Some have probably seen these - for those that haven't ....... Posters Couple of my favorites : Quitters never win, winners never quit, but those who never win and never quit are idiots. Always remember that you are unique. Just like everybody else.
  10. Mine arrived this morning - look good. Thanks Steve for organising this. Just have to find a suitable time now to borrow the wifes hair dryer
  11. Unless you have the laser option of course (stupid me )
  12. As far as I know the Road Angel is GPS only - i.e. it does not detect anything, it warns when you are close to a location in its memory. Worth keeping the unit updated - every few weeks / before a long trip etc. Upside is you get good warning of known cameras / truvelos etc (and won't warn if on other carraigeway etc) - downside it will not detect roadside vans / cars with radar or laser.
  13. Have a look at here for Devon and here for rest of country. Devon is not too bad & there are some nice roads off the main routes. As far as I know all static camera's are still yellow so easy to spot (except ones behind overgrown trees!). As Claire noted, the main problem is getting here ;) . M5 south of Bristol usually has 1-2 patrol cars about plus occasional mobile traps. A303 has a few camera's but mostly on the single lane sections where you are usually stuck behind a caravan or truck. Watch out for one camera on an uphill passing lane just outside a village (can't remember name) and one westbound on the 3 lane after South Petherton (which caught Nigel Mansell a few years ago). Have a nice holiday - looks like the weather will be good B)
  14. Have a search on IS300.net - US IS300s have a subset of the GS / LS CBEST options - assume Europe IS's are similar. IS options appear fairly limited although there are a couple of interesting ones. Has anyone done this / enquired about CBEST on a European IS? Whitebeam
  15. 9 ;) I'm living with it at the moment as the cure seems worse than the problem. Was told the whole assy / headlining etc had to come out. Very annoying though as the rest of the car is very quiet. Whitebeam
  16. Sold! Cheque in post. Thanks Whitebeam
  17. Sorry - only just seen the order link. I won't be taking these now - very sorry to mess you about. Hadn't realised that I can't use paypal until I get my next credit card bill (new acct). Whitebeam
  18. Michael, I can't make Powderham - have to work ;) Hope you have a good day. Whitebeam
  19. Please put me down for a set. Whitebeam
  20. Mr Administrator, Could you please add me for Saturday afternoon - tried to register from work & tripped over a security setting somewhere ;) Sorry for the late notice - weekend just became free :) Thanks Whitebeam
