  1. Awesome. I made sure it was dark when I got it out of my boot and transferred it to the garage (I share a driveway with my neighbours) lol
  2. Looking forward to having this QS system fitted on Friday - bought used from a fellow member. Stumbled across this thread and seriously cannot wait now 🙂
  3. That's exactly why I wanted to do the colour change....make it a bit more obviously 'F'....
  4. Just to say thanks all for your input Even if we did go off on a slight tangent, or "tangerine" lol (Sorry, terrible Dad joke)
  5. Thanks for taking the time to do that @Wood Butcher There is a set for sale on Ebay and I even tried doing the same by zooming into the pictures. Only Brembo markings and the part no. I emailed Brembo yesterday. I think if I get a wishy washy answer from them, then I will just forget the idea.
  6. Yeh thanks Colin, I suspected this was the case. Only someone high up in the Design Exec Team will know....
  7. Mmmm lots of inputs for which I am grateful.... Only I think you have all convinced me to leave them well alone.....for now.
  8. I have been told by many painters that with the correct primer, lacquer and curing process, you can paint your brakes in any colour you like using standard car paint.
  9. Ha so yes I am still tied between the 2x Perhaps I will order a touch up for both, or even a small can for both colours and see how they dry on bit of scrap
  10. Yes I was looking at 2x options: 1) LFA Nurburgring Orange 9K5 2) RCF Molten Pearl 4W7 Molten Pearl looks correct using your picture as benchmark.....
  11. Of course, orange is orange for some people. However I am a perfectionist so want to get it right if I can.....accepting I may have to concede to something close.
  12. Hi all, I keep looking at the blue GSF for sale on AT, it makes me want to copy the calipers for my blue RCF. I think the two compliment each other well. The topic has come up loads in US with no conclusion so wondered if anyone here in the UK has managed to find out the colour code for the orange calipers which are now down as an F Sport option across models and standard on a GSF...? Thanks, Bill.
  13. What can you get from Connected Services? And will my model have it (2015 RCF)?
  14. Haha yes I thought my video was jumping/looping at one point and skipped a minute ahead lol
  15. No one better than Tony at WIM aka Blackboots, Chesham. 66 miles, 1.25hrs drive from Bluewater. Only garage I would trust on a GSF's suspension that's for sure!
  16. Id recommend having Wheels In Motion fit them, that way you can get a Geo setup right afterwards. They fitted my camber adjusters on the IS250....think will fit any other suspension components and you have peace of mind with them being the experts in suspension geometry setup Plus you get a nice drive to test before and after 😉 Whereabouts in Kent are you? Still trying to suss out fellow members locally? (I am Petts Wood close to Orpington)
  17. Indeed rarity will also drive the stats lower on accidents etc for the car. I paid £750 on my RCF back in Oct20 and I am in London Borough of Bromley.
  18. I can see where they were trying to go with the mods, but I would have gone down the Elvin CF route, not wrapped black. £32-34k at the very most....from what I have seen elsewhere online.
  19. Agree with you both. Sorry to stray from the topic...
  20. Funny you should say that. I said that to a traffic cop once and he said that so long as a drive way is NOT secured with a gate or other perimeter which does not allow for any vehicle to pass onto it freely, then it is classed as part of the 'public road' and road traffic rules apply. Still to this day do not know whether I believe him or not.
  21. I think the concern on this car is there is no recent service history at all....
  22. There are a lot of VERY good independent garages out there but a car like this without even that to show is a risk and you’re right to walk. A few more appeared on AT this week. Best of luck
  23. Another one here who bought mine privately in October 2020. 2015 model bought from a fellow member on here (first tick of confidence). He had the Lexus 2 year warranty inspection in August 2020 (2nd tick of confidence). History is full Lexus barring one which was with a Land Rover main dealer as they sold it on their forecourt to the previous owner. But the receipt showed all the work they done including tyres and other bits to get it showroom fresh. However, like others have said above, despite the Land Rover service, Lexus inspected it during the next service and granted the 2 year warranty - so I was happy. Do a comprehensive HPI check for definite (perhaps after viewing it). Before viewing run through the MOT history on Gov.uk as any advisories can give you a clue what to check for when you go to see it. If advisories have not been rectified then that tells you something about how well it has been kept (or not). If everything checks out, make sure you write a receipt which you can both sign as proof of OWNERSHIP, not just keeper (V5). Hopefully once you share the details here, someone will know the car 🙂 Good luck, awesome motors!!
