  1. I have used Tech One since owning a Lexus - I live in Sidcup. 12 years. First with my IS200 and 2nd with my IS250. Derek is good and very knowledgeable - he did his training with the old Toyota Sidcup which closed decades ago. You will have to request genuine parts if you want them and he will do cash work if the job is right for him 😉 Labour rate I think is £70 + Vat I will be taking my RCF to Jemca Sidcup though as I too have extended warranty.
  2. My understanding is that the RC-F is available new, but all other RC models are discontinued.... {edit} which is confirmed when you look at lexus.co.uk
  3. Yes I can see when and where this might happen, but don't anticipate it happening to me.
  4. If you want the fun and excitement close to the German's and budget is no issue, I would go for the RC-F Track Edition. Check it out... I love my RC-F, but I have been with Lexus for 14 years (3rd car) and I enjoy the mix of luxury with v8. I am told by M4 and AMG owners that my RC-F feels and drives with much more luxury, but the Germans will always beat you on track.
  5. Any members have the above? RCF Carbon edition in Azure Blue? If so, please post pics if you don't mind, I'd quite like to see what the CF trims look like against the blue... Ta Bill
  6. I am surprised full window open/closure is not ON by default tbh. When it was a default on my 2008 IS250. I have a 2 year extended warranty plan, have already visited for 1st of the free MOTs and going for my £900 6yr service this August. So again, really hope they do not see me as a customer they do not need to treat well....I am sure they won't.
  7. Well I will ask them to do it at my next service, which is the 6 year service priced at £900+ so will not be very happy if I get asked to pay for a quick switch in Techstream. I am sure they will oblige as you say, for goodwill etc.
  8. Indeed I am sure they will try and add a charge. However I will challenge by pointing out that Techstream always requires updating during a service so should not add any labour time to "flick a switch" whilst already in the system.
  9. Awesome thanks. I will have a good look and let the dealer know what I want changing when I take it in for service end of Summer.
  10. Customisations.....? Tell me more! Not showing under the index of my user guide/handbook.
  11. My 2008 IS250 opened/closed all of your windows by holding down lock/unlock on the remote key. Doesn't seem to work on my RC-F.....does this work for anyone's RC?
  12. Dont get me started on DVLA online services.....many of them close at 7pm. Yes that is right a website with opening/closing hours! Which can only be explained by having humans at the end of the digital submission processing it manually/analogue..... lol Wrap looks awesome matey!
  13. Ha. There’s another black one in Sidcup I always drive past to n from my mums aswell. He’s def on here, had the full invidia system fitted by Jemca. On my drive down to Thanet to view my first F that was for sale, would you believe another one came screaming up behind me! However not seen another on the road since owning mine.
  14. Would you believe 220 odd RCFs in the UK and I spotted one in a close opposite my house in Petts Wood, Kent. Black with a short registration beginning D6 Anyone here? Waved yesterday...
  15. Interesting about the magnet, going to look for that tomorrow as I too find it difficult/inconvenient reaching for my belt.
  16. Ha that is a baller of a day. But glad you got there in the end. Auto handbrake? Is this GSF only? (I still have a 3rd pedal on the RCF).
  17. Looking forward to the spark plug discussion with Jemca Sidcup this Summer.... 6yr service due, but mileage only 27/28k by then. I wonder if the upkeep for my extended warranty will be the limiting factor.
  18. Hoping it won't annoy me enough, or I wont be on the motorway enough for it to bother me and want it removed. Went out again today, loving it. Windows down at all times! haha
  19. I was watching this one and in contact with the dealer at the time - think it was in Newcastle. It dropped by £2k then disappeared - sold was the message from the dealer. I was waiting for funds so missed out. Perhaps a blessing disguise? It then appeared again end of the year / early this year at another dealership and went again. Crucially the mileage has not changed at all since I was watching it in July so seems as if nobody has owned/used it and it continues to be passed around the trade. Would love to know what its problem is....I am sure a lot of those highlights on BCA report could be easily corrected by a dealer wishing to invest. Perhaps something more sinister underneath... a shame, my fav colour combo and great mileage!
  20. Oh yeh ok I can relate to what you are talking about having already driven some miles "around town". That's not bothering me....but a 2hr + stint droning on the motorway might become an issue. Early days and I am over the moon 🙂
  21. Well, the pipes are on and I’m over the moon. Sounds just as a V8 should. Not been on the motorway yet though....I’m sure the pros will outweigh the cons.
  22. Strange you should have that experience, all the feedback above report no drone during cruise.
  23. I have been warned about the cold starts. Still, I rarely start my car early mornings. I am either walking to get a train or working from home. I am sure my neighbours can live with a 10am + start on the weekends.
