    i have this petrol smell too! it does annoy me sometimes but mine only comes at like morning starts or if i have not driven the cars for hours after it being parked up.

    i get 20mpg and if am lucky its 25mpg max. but its a lovely car to drive so the fuel consumption does not bother me that much, only wish it had a bit more buzzz to it when you put your foot down. my next car will be a bigger engine such as a bmw 330 convertible, x5 3 lire.... something along those lines anyway. so the lexus has got me use to low mpg lol

    Love that colour mate! i was going to get mine resprayed to that colour when i had a full respray done.

    as title says, i took it to a garage he is pretty sure that it needs a new brake pad fitting kit as the current one on the car was not put on properly when i got my rear brakes (pads+discs) done and the kit that is currently holding the pads were bent. when i turn right at junctions,rounds abouts i hear a rubber noise and it sounds like something is catching/sticking. i thought i had a flat tyre so i pumped up all my tyres and checked to see if there were any nails in them but there all fine. any help/advice would be appreciated, Thanks Rez

    cheers for the responses guys. guess its not just me out there who drives with the trc off on a regular basis. good to hear u all have fun drivin the car with the trc off :)

    as title says... i have started to drive my car with the TRC OFF on a regular basis now for 2 weeks and i find the car more exciting to drive and also at the same time it is more economic for me somehow. i dont drive with the trc off in the wet tho because i'd rather be on the safe side in the wet. lol

    Nice car you have there mate, its got the same bodykit as mine too and i have seen this exact car out and about in liverpool, car is in mint condition.

    when a few of my friends seen this on the news i had lots of texts an messages on facebook about me being a murderer coz my car is a black lexus like the one on the news lol

    i have used a tape adapter to play songs from my ipod and blackberry for a few years and hasnt let me down yet. also what is this groom adapter? where does it connect to? thanks

    sorry didnt see this comment, my full respray cost me £500 because my car got badly vandalised and the bodyshop i used is one that me an my family have used for many years so he looks after us when we need jobs doing.... Very cheap costing me almost twice that i know i got a really good price because i took it to a few others before taking it to my friends garage and the cheapest i was quoted was £800 and the most expensive one was £2500! the damage was alot of deep scratches and some really bad dents where my car got punched and keyed!

    i would if i knew how to and had the confidence to do it but knowing me i will just end up breaking the headlights, anything i take apart i always end up breaking them lol.

    Cheers mate, i know there very expensive like you said, but if i ever come accross a set which are reasonably priced then i will take them up but if i dont buy a set i wont lose any sleep lol, like i did for my alloys haha

    as the title says, i have had my car for 10 months and in this time i have had two sets of alloys, tinted my windows, had a full repsray, car luckily came with the TRD kit. here are some pics when i got the car: here is a pic with some 19" Mania wheels: and here is a pic with the alloys that i wanted right from the start: A big thanks to Mars who is a member on here who i bought the alloys off, cheers for your help mate :) If i find the smoked headlights like you get on the 04+ model or the one that Orme has i will buy them so that the car is 100% complete to my satisfaction.

    i'd actually be ashamed to drive that car! i'd rather drive a vauxhall corsa than get looks off people thinkin that i am a complete nutter! lol they guy who done this must have been on drugs or somthing! no SANE person would do that! haha

    what does the AS200 Altezza have that a normal IS200 doesnt have? this this is the first time i have heard of an AS200 you see, i knew there was always an RS200 which has the yamaha beams engine.

    360 miles! wooooo that is alot! i had the chance to buy a set of 18s 6 spoke lexus alloys for £150 but i had to make a 3 hour drive if i wanted them but i just left it. lol credit to you though for travelling that many miles for a set of wheels :) how much did it cost you in petrol by the way?

    I got my Lexus in September 2009 and since then i have been looking for a set of 18" 6 spoke lexus alloys but couldnt find any, today i have finally bought a set of 18" 6 spoke alloys thanks to a member on here called Mars (Steve). the wheels should be getting delivered to my house monday/tuesday soon as i get them they will be on the car within minutes lol. I will post some pics up with the new wheels. also i'd like to thank Dekkie77 for looking out for alloys for me. cheers for your help mate.
