  1. That's looking great :) Wrapper obviously took a lot of time and care with it... Body wise, I reckon you can't really go wrong with TRD sideskirts and the TRD rear lip, but I prefer the TTE front bumper to the TRD front lip. Or if you are feeling very very rich, you could hunt down a Legana bumper...
  2. Simple fix, all you need is a 5mm bolt... You need to lever the metal spar a bit out of the boot arm (the bit that is connected to the bootlid) far enough to insert the bolt. The extra tension of the bolt acting as a spacer causes it to open much more fully. Mine was the same, only opening a few millimetres till it was done (by ormi while fitting bodykit parts) B) B)
  3. The handbrake light staying on usually indicates either brake light bulb out or brake fluid low. Check all brake lights are working and if they are, then check the fluid level. The flashing TRC light means there's a problem with the system, you might need to take it to the dealership to get any fault codes read if you don't have an OBDII reader available.
  4. Never driven a better car :) I love it. Not really much difference between the SE and Sport, mostly cosmetic stuff anyway. And a limited slip diff. You should post up some pics of the cars when you get a chance...
  5. Well, I have met Ormi :) None of the others yet though... Like everything else, it's a matter of finding a time that suits everyone. TommyH is glasgow based, so he might be best placed to suggest independents for you...
  6. I have some but you can't have them! Heheheheh.... Still how about these, these do?
  7. There's me, ormi, TommyH, Kerja, Asi, and at least a few others whose names I can't think of off the top of my head...
  8. Price seems quite high, but those are the TTE Reds I mentioned earlier on. I paid nearly £150 less than that price for the stiffer Yellows I have on the car... Depends how much you want to spend I guess, they are supposed to be a decent set of ARBs though.
  9. Got mine recently for £80 plus p&p from a car being broken on eBay...Paint job on them, and fitted, look terrific :D This might be a good bet for you as well, or there are a number of FG kits as well on there - though I'm not sure how decent those are...
  10. I got them from a member on here, though they do pop up occasionally on eBay and the like. Again you can try ACLex and see if he has any lying about the stock room.... :D
  11. For ARBs, you will find a lot of people on here swear by the TTE Red ARBs or the TRD Yellow ARBs (TRD being slightly stiffer than TTE). I have the TRD ones, and the difference they make is significant in handling. Can't comment on other types as I've not tried others...
  12. They are fairly rare, but not £500 rare... I think I've seen the ad on ebay you are talking about and he's priced them too high IMHO...
  13. Click this link and it should take you to the page to send him a message. Or find any of his posts and click the envelope underneath his avatar (the flipping over car picture under his username)...
  14. Think it's a complete cluster you'd have to buy, the lights are a sealed unit. People who have modded the interior of those lights have had to cut the plastic open with a dremel which is why I think it's a single unit. You can order one from ACLex on here for about £60 I think, PM him for actual prices...
  15. I wouldn't pay quite that much myself... I got a set of 4 that needed a minor refurb for £160. They do pop up on ebay a fair amount, so it's worth holding on to find a set in decent nick at a decent price...
  16. Look for the sticker on the block, it'll say when the belt was last changed and the mileage at the time, so you can go from that to determine if it needs done or not
  17. Clocks have gone forward an hour but the forum hasn't? Gave me a bit of a WTF moment when I posted something and when I looked again, I thought an hour had passed... :D
  18. Welcome to the forum... There's a few of us in Edinburgh as well... Look forward to the pics :) Reliability won't be an issue as long as the cam belt changes are done to the service schedule (every 6 years/60k miles) so you probably have a wee bit yet before it'll need done. I go back and forward to Livingston every day in mine, never been in a better driving car than the IS...
  19. Send a PM to oilman - he runs Opie Oils and not only can he advise exactly what you need, you'll get a 10% discount ordering online from them as a club member too
  20. Going from memory, the front lip spoiler (TRD) when supplied by Lexus (or Toyota) is around £140 or so, and the TTE Bumper is around £330 or so. Course then you need to get them painted as well... Lips and bumpers both come up on eBay quite often though, so bargains can be had if you're lucky...
  21. Nope. There are many many bulletproof cars out there in great nick. Don't compromise on what you want.
  22. yeah, but he will tell you if the settings are right... he's a member on the forum here (or you can go to the wim forums and sign up there and ask for a faster response) so you could PM him... He's many miles from me as well, but there is a WIM affiliate in Edinburgh, and they should be aware of the Lexus setup issues, and if not the affiliation means they can just call up tony and ask him... Or you can go to CLCL in Edinburgh who I'm told are very good as well (that's who set the geo on ormi's IS200 I think).
  23. You can pm Tony Bones on here (he runs WIM) and he'll let you know what's what... Also, with the WIM affiliates, you can ask them to call Tony to ensure they get the right settings and so on...
  24. They look pretty nice, but you really need 18s at least (some say 19s) to fill the arches properly on an IS, and those in 18" trim are only 50 quid short of a grand....
