    You'd be surprised how easy they are to snap. A long breaker bar would snap one with very little effort. The wheel is much stronger than a stud. One reason they should be fitted with a torque wrench not an impact hammer. They are not stronger just put under a different type of load.

    Strange? this has happened to me, is there a problem with these bolts? did you change yours ? Yes I bought new ones from Lexus, they cost £4.86 for two in 2010. I would have thought that the alloy wheel would have failed before a stud would break!

    Hi, there is a re-manufactured CV joint which includes the abs ring on eBay now, £23 inc pp. If you want to search for it its item 121050035750. I don't know if you are doing it yourself but as you will have to take the drive shaft out anyway just change the CV, they are easy to do.

    From the workshop manual, it looks like the front one is a yes but the rear is no! It gives no instruction on how to remove the abs ring on the rear, it just gives the usual warning not to damage it. The front can be replaced.

    That's what I was referring too! The windscreen not the stereo! According to the manual its a very tedious procedure.

    Hi Reading the workshop manual it seems half the dashboard surround needs to be removed, was it an easy job? for a screen fitter of course.

    My point is I had a full SS system inc both middle and rear boxes plus the cat for the same price and lifetime guarantee! You should have searched the forum for more info. I still think a straight pipe and two back boxes was expensive! no offense.

    Hi Have you looked into having your rad re-cored? it may be cheaper.

    Just checked the bonnet catch again whilst I thought about it, Yep the spring was OK but the cable is tending to stick. I will have to spend a bit more time on it when I can find my cable oiler. :winky:

    First, sorry to read of your problem, second, how did they get the handle off from outside?? surely they would need to get the door card off? just thinking that could be a security issue. Hope you get it sorted.

    MIJ are custom exhausts! they make them to suit your needs. I never doubted that..and they are probably within your region.. I was talking about the big picture No offence meant, they are 60 miles from me but the savings were worth it. £600 for a FULL system that included the cat. ;)

    Hi This is the company that made mine, MIJ full system including cat for £600. As you are going to Brm I would look them a ring 01922 645 646 I think they have done others on this site.
