  1. The basic engine is the same although there are quite a few differences. e.g. the series II engine has vvt-i, higher compression ratio, electronic throttle, different ignition, produces more power, less emissions and better economy.
  2. I assume you have a 2.5TT soarer and I have therefore moved this post into the correct forum
  3. Have a look here: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...=0& Wheels may not fit. The calipers do stick out a long way. Supra has +50 offset wheels and the spokes miss the calipers only by a couple of mm.
  4. Increased risk of theft. Also if the car is more powerful then if it was a production model it would have a higher insurance group over the standard model - they are just doing the same.
  5. I was getting a quote from Elephant the other day and Turbo and S/C are listed on the modifications page.
  6. Dealers should be able to set the clock to the same reading as the old one
  7. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/knowledge...ex_v2&id=35&c=3
  8. Tested colours and they work too. Select the colour and the [ COLOR=...] will come up. Type in your text and then put a (or use the close all tags) at the end and then start another colour
  9. This explains things: http://www.btinternet.com/~madmole/Reference/RONMONPON.html
  10. The US don't use the RON rating. The pumps are normally labeled with PON rating which is the average between RON and MON. A 95RON (normal unleaded in the UK) has something like a MON of 87 and therefore the US pumps will show as 91 PON. So somebody putting in 92 in the US is using better fuel than most poeple in the UK. Basically don't use 87 or 89 fuel in the US.
  11. Please note that three images is the allowed limit under the forum T&Cs.
  12. I just tried and it allowed me to put in a URL with a jpg without a problem.
  13. It's only £15k now. http://lexusownersclub.co.uk/carsales/listings/l0010.html
  14. You will notice a difference with stock suspension.
  15. That's too much for an R reg. At least 2k less and should have sat nav. £500 less without the nav. There are less problems on the GS compared to the IS: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/knowledge...ex_v2&id=16&c=3 Try and get a 2001 model if you can (Nov 2000+) http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/knowledge...ex_v2&id=69&c=3 I would say the GS will cost you another £6 to fill up for the same mileage. They are not that good in stop/start traffic.
  16. Cannot find the diag mode for the IS200 CD Sat Nav. It's not the same as the GS procedure because the IS doesn't have all the buttons. However from what I can see: No GPS logo means no GPS signal Green logo means full signal and fully working Red logo means receiving a GPS signal but not tracking 3 or more sats and therefore cannot get a position. If you are not getting a green logo nearly all the time then there is a problem. Do you have window tints?
  17. I think it got to £265 but was stopped early. The wheels were marked and didn't have the centre caps (which are £32 each from Lexus)
  18. Cannot remember the diagnostic sequence for the CD version. I'll have a play tonight and let you know. There should be a way to list all the sats that are being tracked. Are you sure there is nothing above/below on the rear shelf? Have you upgraded the speakers?
  19. I'm not sure if it's extended to only 5 years because that covers all ISs. Maybe it will extend to 6 when the first models are older than 5.
  20. New filter won't be covered under warranty as it's a disposable item that should be replaced every year. Any loss of coolant or compressor problem would be covered.
