  1. have a look at this thread...SMD/LED Dash Thread the SMD kit listed on there is highly recommended for doing the dash.
  2. Good stuff, I like to see someone get creative with their car :) Not sure if you meant building an induction kit or just fitting one, but I did a guide on how to build your own when I made mine a few weeks ago. Might be useful to have a look at even if you skip some of the steps :) http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=73672
  3. Keep us updated on the build, I'd be very interested to see how you get on with a completely custom setup
  4. I'm pretty sure I read that if you have a BOV you don't need the bypass cable, not sure if that means you can do away with the port completely though...I would assume so?
  5. Good product? Yes. Works well and does what it says it should. Value for money? No, not unless you feel the need to change your damping settings for every journey. Especially when you can just get out and do it yourself for free.
  6. The only trust/greddy intake part I could find that was specific to the 1G-FE engine was this... http://www.rhdjapan.com/trust-greddy-airinx-b-type-air-intake-1g-fe-19162 Which is just a filter and adapter flange, no piping. Although the description does say there in a version that comes with mandrel bent piping, but I couldn't see it listed :duh:
  7. I wouldn't have thought you'd need to change the springs on aftermarket coilovers unless they are super stiff & have fixed damping, but if you get a set with adjustable damping you should be able to soften the ride to close to OEM I'd have thought.
  8. I take it you emailed them direct as RHDJapan don't list many IS200 parts on there website? If you want to find out how much it will be to import after tax and VAT etc. you can use this website... http://www.dutycalculator.com/
  9. Are you dead set on 50mm? That's quite a big drop on springs. 40mm are much easier to find on eBay.
  10. Where did you order the Greddy one from? I had a look at getting one before, but couldn't find anywhere that sold them? And I'd definitely recommend sticking an Apexi filter on it.
  11. Definitely recommend the MeisterR coilovers :winky: Andy I'd go with what these guys said, specially as I just bought a set myself...
  12. He hasent been online for over a year according to his profile. What are you trying to do? I'm sure there's someone else who will be able to help.
  13. Might wanna have a look at this before you decide you want a Trust/Greddy one...the HKS one in the test is the same type of filter they use. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/
  14. Trust/Greddy one is an option...but they use those crappy foam filters which have been proved to give the worst filtration out of the 6 main brand filters tested. Apexi is the best for filtration and air flow, and thats why they cost more.
  15. I don't think I've ever used my horns on the road incase the car infront thinks they are being beeped at by a scooter! lol However I'd be more willing to give crap drivers a good blast with those 130dB beasts :P
  16. The mileage is stored in the speedo itself, so if you get a new unit it will display the mileage of the car it came off.
  17. did you mention to the seller/dealer that it was not working during the test drive? if its a private sale then you'll probably have to take it as it is. But if its a dealer then I'd get them to fix it first.
  18. Good work on the install, been watching this thread closely in case I want to have a go at it. I had the exact same problem as you when fitting aftermarket HIDs though, the anti-glare sections don't line up properly because Lexus bulbs stop 1/3 turn different than everyone else! So I've just got normal HID bulbs in now.
  19. I think it could be a good idea, because people are too quick to blame the petrol stations and oil companies for the price of fuel. When half of it is actually the government making money out of us again.
  20. I've been looking for some new horns for my IS200 for a while as the OEM ones are pathetic for what is a fairly decent sized luxury car! Just ordered a set of these for mine after watching the YouTube vid. And useful information about the earthing Jomo B)
  21. Well it's certainly paid off, I'm seriously tempted to have a go at the Imprezza spoiler mod. But I've already got the sports boot spoiler so maybe something for the future. Don't suppose you know how much you're lowered by do you? I've got coilovers arriving for my car next week and the ride height you've got is exactly what I'm aiming for.
  22. a 1999 subaru impreza sport turbo model, had it slighty widend and flared then rear brake light smoothed off ;) Nice, I'm impressed with the creativity that's gone into the car. You wont see another one like that in a hurry B)
  23. Also, what model of Imprezza did the spoiler come off? I've only ever seen either the big hooped ones or the boot spoilers on them
  24. Love the overall look you have achieved with the car! What makes the TRD skirts custom though? (not questioning you, just curious) And I think that modded Scooby spoiler is fantastic, looks a million times better than the Altezza spoiler!
  25. The one I sold was £220 inc. delivery I was hoping to do them cheaper but I can't get hold of the filter as cheap as I did on my own one unfortunately. EDIT: Does this person have an IS200 aswell then? As I only have measurements for the IS200 setup. But feel free to pass on his details :)
