  1. Hi Ben. Well Mr RAC came very quickly and jump started it everything instantly came back to life, battery test done showed there was nothing wrong with the battery, showed it charging at 14 volts, have just been out for an hours drive stopped and started a few times no problems. This happened to me about a year ago exactly the same, the car showed absolutely no signs of life what so ever. Mr RAC came out checked the battery with the same results the battery was then only a few months old then, Lexus battery. So it remains a mystery. Mike I can explain the mystery. About 8.30 this morning a UFO flew over Hampshire and Sussex taking it's energy from Japanese cars, this avoids the spacecraft crashing and causing untold damage to crops. Anything else I can help you with? Phil Do you know what I think you could have something there as I am sure I saw an Alien hanging around the Benefits Office in Reading as I drove by in my now fixed Lexus. No one seem to give it a second look but I know what I saw. Mike
  2. Those jump packs are brilliant and I am about to order one. Do you make sure on a regular basis that there is a good charge in the jump pack if you keep it in the car? Mike
  3. That's a serious burn out and I wouldn't be surprised if other components have gone down, its also worrying that the burn is next to a transformer. Good luck with it, Mike

  5. Just went out to go to the doctors and she is dead, absolutely nothing, not even a glimmer of anything getting even a micro volt to it, so we are waiting for the good old RAC. Car last used on Friday just gone and she is parked outside. Further updates to follow. Mike
  6. Absolutely brilliant for less than £30. Camera position is nicely hidden from view. I love some technology Mike
  7. I am with you all the way on that one, then the seller gets p****d off if you ask to many questions. Mike
  8. This will be interesting to see what this goes for. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2001-LEXUS-LS430-PREMIUM-PACK-98K-FULL-SPEC-MOT-9-13-DVD-NAV-BLACK-/150985722418?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2327734a32 Looks a nice one. Mike
  9. Ah yes and if you are one of fairer s*x doing your makeup in that mirror in the middle which is what it was designed for. Mike
  10. 2 things to add.. be on the mobile phone telling you mates how good you are at snow driving have the lights off because snow is white and other drivers can see you against it Ah you forgot that if you do have your lights on make sure that all your fog lights are on as well to blind everyone and also to prove to everyone what a knob-head you are. Mike
  11. Go for it, its not a lot of money. I've got mine wired to the reverse lights so it comes on when reverse is selected along with the parking sensors. The monitor is just small enough to sit in the corner of the dash (near the tax disc) so it doesn't create a blind spot, another reason for not getting the 7" monitor. I was thinking of either having 7" that fits over the rear view mirror or same size that would fit to the sun visor so when not needed it just disappears by folding up the visor. Mike I understand that, but I'll get a couple of photos and you can see it's really not in the way, and plenty big enough. Brilliant. Mike

  13. Hi Phil. Which one did you buy? Mike Hi Mike, This is the one I bought, cheap and Chinese but works surprisingly well. I wanted a basic one and as small as possible. The camera fits perfectly between the number plate lights and is hardly noticable. I fitted it this morning, it took 4 hours but that was due to rubbish instructions and trying to find a way through to to rear from the cabin. Its at a time like that that you realise just how well put together these cars are. If I did it again I could do it in about 2 hours. I'll take some photos over the weekend. Now I just want to keep going backwards until the novelty wears off! Phil http://www.ebay.co.u...d=110904507085 Many thanks Phil. I would be really interested in how you get on with it and your thoughts. Regards Mike
  14. Glad you sold the old girl to another possible LOC member. As for the new car wait for the sun to come out and there are Daffodils lining the road side things always look different then. Mike
  15. To think we used to moan about the fact that they didn't put starting handles in the car anymore. Mike
