  1. isnt this the forum where you can have a laugh and a giggle?
  2. would you be if I paid you or paid you some compliments? they just are. You know Babs Windsor off Eastenders or Frank Butcher? well these villains would drink with Babs Winsor or be mates of frank Butcher. I just know they would...... good old fashioned lags, theyll be moving down to the Costa Del Crime and will be living it up. maybe they will open up a restaurant doing a traditional sunday roast in a sea of paella and sombreros. Good luck to em I say
  3. look pal it was Mrs Thatcher what told the working classes to go out and do enterprise she said theres no such thing as society this is a group of lads who did just that! dont knock the system mate. and for your information I dont have a family, im an orphan. they were all murdered by a gang of itinerant dictionary sellers when I was a small child. Thanks for opening up old wounds
  4. :D :D havent you watched Buster or The Krays? Brinks Mat? Come on. These are proper old school villains. Balacalabvas, Ford Cortinas, Villas in the Costa Del Crime. Maggie Thatcher, The Sweeney, come on! its like the old days before all these Russian and Albanian gangs came to London, before it was all white collar crime and computers! its romantic innit! Sorry Im laughing this is a blatant back from the pub wind up post. makes you proud to be British - this is proper villains not like the scum you see these days - I bet these lags had stockings on their heads and love their mums - Im sure in their spare time they would help an old lady across the street. you having a laugh or what because guess what, it aint funny what - its alright for you to speed in your turbocharged pikeymobile but its not alright for some good old Pie and Mash east end villains to get into the spirit or Maggie Thatchers Enterprise Britain and rob a few quid from the old lady? Didnt you ever see the Lavender Hill Mob? aint you got no romance in your soul? ive just fallen off my chair laughing about this. specially you Bazza youre gold dust - ive never been told off by a car modder before! See you in Asda's car park for a few donuts and handbrake turns tomorrow night? Ill be wearing my Burberry baseball cap!

  6. I think that they are much stricter on drunk driving here in the UK than other countries. I just got back from the US ( I stayed near Greenwich CT) and I could have sworn that half the people in bars were getting tanked and driving home....... it seems to be socially acceptable there to have a drink and then drive home going back to my mate in Ibiza - I think he was blatantly treated more harshly than a local would have been - if any of you have been on the roads in Southern Spain, Balearic Isles and especially Ibiza know what im on about - the locals there get wasted and then drive about
  7. donated! and Tony your sig reminds me that Im due to come down for another 3,000 mile checkup soon, in about 500 miles time I think as I havent been driving that much the last few weeks!
  8. but our plates are the same size as the german plates french plates polish plates infact most european plates are the same size...but i agree, would be nice to have smaller plates...like the italians do, tiny front, normal sized rear ← sure theyre the same size but those countries dont have absurdly large glow in the dark letters - its massive overkill. You can read a British numberplate from the freaking moon never mind 300 yards. :P
  9. British number plates have to be the most ridiculously oversized plates on the face of the earth. Whats wrong with the US style plates? They dont ruin the cars front or rear and in some states you dont even need a front number plate. This country needs to lighten up imo. :duh:
  10. cheers - I hope so too - and for the benefit of the suburban moralisers - I wont ever be drinking and driving or doing anything naughty you can be sure of that...... feel better now? back to your cocoa and Daily Mail then
  11. yeah true he could have been doing some of the old Spanish porridge right now and im sure some of those Spanish prison guards would have been eyeing him up for some back door prison action as we speak............. as for causing accidents dont talk to me about accidents - Ive been in 3 of them this year - one was actually in Ibiza in July when some idiot thought it would be a good idea to drive on the wrong side of the road on a mountain road. Smashed right into me. Second one was a pile up on the M42 in July - Im still trying to get the insurance to pay up on that one. Third one was Quad biking in Italy - im still not recovered from the broken bones. None of the above accidents were anything to do with alcohol I think Ive just been unlucky this year .... roll on 2006
  12. dunno - my mate said he couldnt understand a word they were saying to him - they kept talking in Ibizan dialect and never even tried to explain anything to him in English. I bet that 2000 Euros has gone to the Guardia Civil Xmas knees up :winky:
  13. thats a bit harsh - he was in Ibiza on holiday and he went to get some groceries stopped for a beer and then went back to his villa - its something everyone seems to do in Ibiza - I guess he was just unlucky or the Guardia Civil picked on him cos he was English. Personally I would not have drunk the second beer, and I dont drink and drive. But then this thread isnt for some Daily Mail reader to moralise, it was to find out if he was gonna cop it from the English authorities as well :P
  14. I was going up the M6 about a year ago and I might have been going 1 or 2 mph above 70 and a motorbike cop came alongside me and started pointing at his speedo I wound the window down and said "is there something wrong?" and he suddenly put his siren and lights on and shot off up the motorway at some ridiculous speed I turned round to the missus and said "do you think he wants me to follow him?" :winky:
  15. I guess thats lucky then. He told me that the Guardia Civil were somewhat less friendly than the average British Bobby when he got stopped and he was lucky to still have his teeth / face intact the only reason the car wasnt confiscated was that it was a hire car Spain is in the EU yet its like the Wild West in some respects.......... I guess he shouldnt have had that extra San Miguel (or two) before going back to the villa........
  16. I dunno. I have heard about foreigners being fined over here for speeeding / parking - things like that - and they've never paid for the fine, and never been chased afterwards. The fine just gets written off ! Welcome to the humble UK. ← yeah I dont think they can get us for speeding and doing speed cameras abroad at the moment but if you get stopped in most coutries in Europe the police do on the spot fines you have to pay there and then. I dont think they do that in the UK so its regarded as a soft touch, especially by Nigerian Diplomats who seem to love parking on Knightsbridge knowing that their cars wont be clamped. try it yourself and your car will be in the pound before you can say Harrods Food Hall
  17. my mate got busted for drunk driving in Spain recently - he got a 2000 euro fine and was lucky not to spend a week in the Ibiza hilton (nick) does anyone know if this will affect his UK licence or if the insurers can find out about it and "adjust" his premiums or are the EU computers not all hooked up yet?
  18. JANUARY As for not seeing any Lexus IS250s I have been thinking the same thing - I havent seen any at all on the roads so far. I know that having expressed an interest in the new Lexus the dealers have been jumping all over us. Also going to look at a Toyota for my other half the dealers have been looking desperate - there is tons of cars on forecourts I would say that car sales are dire and have been for a while. Definitely a buyers market........
  19. true enough - I think I will take your advice on this one......... Im going to call up Lexus Hatfield.....
  20. so if I leave my IS300 without the headlamp washers I will be ok come MOT time........... (sorry for hijack...) on the subject of converting the IS200 to HID is it possible to fit the IS300 reflectors to the 200 as they are optimised for HID??
