  1. Thanks for this suggestion Adrian but I never use the key fob to lock or unlock my car. I only ever use the smart entry/exit.
  2. Tried everything this morning but they still won't fold on locking. The switch is set to auto and I have tried the 'L' and 'R' switched on and have also tried it with them off, i.e. neutral but, still not working. The mirrors do fold in when I do it with the manual button Methinks summat is busted.
  3. The wing mirrors have stopped working on my car. They were working perfectly up until this morning. I have made sure that the switch is in the 'auto' position and I have tried it with the L and R switches engaged and also not engaged but still they won't fold when the doors are locked. Is there anything else that I might have accidentally touched that would stop them from folding?
  4. This is an interesting thread. I'm still exploring my new NX and finding little things as I do. I'm amazed that there are no courtesy lights at the bottom of the doors. I had them on my IS and I changed the standard ones to some that projected a Lexus motif on to the floor at night. I took them off my IS when I sold it, thinking that I could put them on my NX. I felt fairly certain that the lights would be the same but, not only are they not the same but there aren't any at all, other than the ones by the door handles! I also had a SNOW button on my IS, haven't got one on my NX though. What's the reason for that, anyone know? I'm going to try to sort out this 'ensemble thingy' with the radio that I've often seen mentioned. I never got round to it with the IS, probably because there was already a load of pre-sets present. Also going to try to fit my front and rear dashcam in the next few days.
  5. I have just tried again and this is what I got.......
  6. Is anyone else having problems getting into the 'How to use our Forums - Video Guide' I was trying to get into it yesterday and again this morning but all I get is a message saying 'Sorry this page doesn't exist' or words to that effect. Is it a case that it is no longer available? EDIT. Well folks, I've been fiffing and faffing about since yesterday trying to change the photo on my profile settings and wasn't really getting anywhere. This morning I thought I'd have a look in the aforementioned forum for some help but, I couldn't get into it and so I continued with my fiffing and faffing. I uploaded the photo I wanted several times but couldn't get it into place. I decided to delete it and then a large capital green coloured B appeared. When I first posted this thread I noticed that my photo had suddenly appeared in the correct place, how that happened I really do not know! Anyway, even though the photo is now in place, it's not very good is it. Is there any way of getting a picture of the whole car in there?
  7. Hi chaps, thanks for that. I thought it was just my pc. Yes Peter, all of my other sites are fine too. Before posting my query, I had in fact uploaded my new photo but, I am having great difficulty in repositioning/saving it to the proper position. Perhaps it's because of the problems with the site at the moment. I will give it another try later. Thanks again for trying to help.
  8. Hello folks, I am trying to change the photograph of my car by my user name but am having some difficulty. I have tried getting into the 'How to use our forums' section but for some reason I keep getting an error and a message to say page doesn't exist. I've obviously done it before but,Ii can't remember how, and so if someone can enlighten me please, I will be most grateful. For some reason my internet connection is unbelievably slow at the moment.
  9. I have a small owners manual that came with the car but I could do with getting hold of a copy of the more comprehensive one. Every time that I go into 'My Lexus' to try to download it, I am always presented with what seems like a Polish version despite the fact that I requested it in English. I reported this to Lexus almost a couple of weeks ago and they acknowledged the problem but have still not corrected it. Has anyone downloaded the pdf file for this manual that they could send to me please? Many thanks.
  10. I would like to wish you all A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2018. With many thanks to all who have provided answers to my many queries. Good wishes to you all and your families for a very enjoyable festive period.
  11. Thank you Peter, I will have a look at the summary tomorrow. As I said in my original post, even though I always switch into EV mode when I turn into my road, I have never had the reading show anything like what happened today. The figure usually just rises slightly in my IS.
  12. A very odd thing happened on my 4 mile drive home from the club tonight. I was watching the MPG figure on the centre of the dashboard and it was showing a reading of around 39.5 mpg but it gradually started to climb and was showing 47 mpg and then 59 mpg the closer that I got to home. I always switch to EV mode when I turn into my road and, by the time that I turned into my drive the figure was showing as 99.9 mpg. I never had this happen with my IS300h. Anyone got any thoughts on this? It will be interesting to see what I get when I go out in the morning.
  13. Same here, it's the wife's Yaris that goes to Tesco but, I still try to park away from other cars if possible. Wifey always moans about the distance to walk though!
  14. Yes it worked for me when I had my IS300h, but it won't work with the NX unfortunately. I'm sure that someone will come up with the answer though.
  15. I have a thread going in the IS300h section regarding changing the default number of indicator flashes from three to 5 or 7. I put it in there because I did the adjustment previously with my IS. Someone very kindly came up with the procedure but, unfortunately it doesn't work with the NX I'm just wondering if anyone has made the adjustment on their NX and if so, what is the procedure please.
  16. Unfortunately this doesn't work in the NX. Whilst holding the wiper arm in the fully raised position the wipers are going all of the time and only stop when I release it back to its holding position. There must be another procedure for the NX methinks.
  17. Yes Andrew, that looks very much like the procedure I went through when I did my IS. Many thanks for that. I will try to give it a go today.
  18. Andrew, I remember reading the thread and I actually adjusted the flashers on my IS300h from the standard three flashes to seven. Someone very kindly posted the instructions but I just can't find the thread. I seem to recall that there were some funny bits of fiddling to do, possibly with turning the lights on at the same time. Hopefully someone will remember it all.
  19. Some time ago there was a thread created about adjusting the flashers from three flashes to seven on the IS300h Firstly, I can't remember if it was in this particular section of the forum or, if it might have been in the electronics section. . I have tried searching but haven't found it yet. Secondly, does anyone know if it will work on the NX. Can anyone remember it or knows how to do it please?
  20. It was a button on the end of the wiper stalk in my IS but it isn't on the NX.
  21. Hello folks, Well, I have now made the switch from my IS300h Premier to an NX300h Luxury. I did have every intention of going for an RX450h but, I ran into so much hassle with insuring the car I decided to change direction and go for the NX. I am very pleased with the car, it is immaculate both inside and out and is a real treat to drive. I do have one small problem with the car and that is with regards to the parking sensors. I didn't notice the problem until a couple of days ago. I noticed that I didn't get any beeps when getting close to an obstruction and only then noticed that the system wasn't switched on. When I did switch it on, the warning beeping was constant and, I got a message to say 'Parking Sensor Malfunction' When I tried it again yesterday I was still getting the message but, I also got a momentary message that said 'Clean the Sensors' but I haven't been able to replicate that message again. I have tried cleaning all of them but the problem hasn't gone away. I have contacted the dealer and am waiting for them to get back to me. Has anyone else had a similar problem. On another matter, the car is equipped with rain sensing wipers but, the switch for it is not in the same place as it was on my IS. Am I correct in thinking that this is now 'built-in' and is no longer a switchable option, but is effectively 'active' all of the time.
  22. Sorry to hear about the mishap Alan. Hope you can get it sorted without too much damage to the wallet!! It never ceases to amaze me how little damage can result in having to replace panels/doors etc. It wasn't always like this.............................was it?
