  2. there's a locksmith i use (b'ham city center) that cut and supply Lexus key fob case or supply by customer. very nice gentlemen, did ask him why some locksmith don't do uncut key fob supply by customer especially bought from fleabay .. he just answer "bcos it might damaged their machines router bit wouldn't take any risk or they just don't have the proper cutting machines"
  3. it's always a risk gamble buying a cheap car unless buying a brand new with no fault to worry about. his site is dedicated to all driver who bought the same model. thank god there's always someone here to help do a proper research on the car model you after... what to look for and what need to be aware of .. just walk out if u think it's not the right one... when i bought mine 4years ago i remember the seller told me it had belt changed, ball joints etc etc... and even he let me knock off £200 without asking any question BUT with one condition "sold as it is, no warranty what so ever" ... to be fair they got the car from part exchanged n just wanna clear some space. always telling myself that i bought my first lexus for under 1k shud need proper check. finally got everything done just a full service ,new belt and arm bushed replace. 3 years on with flying color on MOT test best is to know a garage that let u stand and watch what they doing. ideally if your the diy type u might learn few things or so don't jump into conclusion if the car sick. patience n i'm sure someone will come up with solution the same issue you had or might be an easy fix. all the best to you
  4. good to know you've booked in to have the belt done best to take it easy not pushing the rev hard until the belt done
  5. Sorry Edward my apology to you that ended have to spent the extra to find the fault you had. didn't know the by-pass cable would cause this beside the two joint yellow cable. bought two double din stereo and the first one had issue with the pcb (that's why my suspect on the stereo fault) and the second one spot on but end up in total fund i could buy a brand new decent double din . added two extra cable on mine by-pass cable to make the "light dim" when headlight turn on to work. easy swap for a new cable if you handy on the soldering ion kit wish you luck
  6. your best bet is to borrow another aftermarket stereo and test it :hocus-pokus: to make sure...
  7. opps! sorry.. i know usually in asia country people call the seller/buyer as "boss" B) no worry about my previous question as it's too hassle for you. :P thanks

  11. Hi Shaun Not know much about car but i think you should have the timing belt fix. best to have a timing kit install as you say there's "a lot of debris from the belt" (usually the tension has gone and the belt is grinding the cover somewhere) it would be a major big job if the belt snap these mine when the seller told it has been changed :arrrggg-matey: ">http:// ">http:// good luck
  12. Welcome AJ Not really sure on setting up the alarm as myself only knew by setting off the alarm is when the door open or movement in the front passenger (sensor on the center map light) :eerrrmm: i might be wrong.. always tell myself not to compare these gadget to current as it's a 10years model... use rain-x solution product or good old fashion Glass Cleaner Rubber Wiper at £1land would do a pretty nice job :P (rear window screen) give it a good service and maintain it well, everything will be spot on don't be shy to ask any question or browse around welcome :zee:
