  2. yes, the second press deactivates the interior motion sensor and you should get 4 or 5 flashes to confirm. sorry for being a noob :doggy: but where do the motion sensor located? just curious as i left my window half down at work and the alarm didn't went off or it's a different type of sensor?
  3. some might agree that it would ideal to install a double din with all "extra" as you weren't sure what "to be or not to be" issue if the wiring mod done properly you can sell it off as a unit "plug and play" thingy depend on what gadget mod on. too much hassle? could try this out Item number:370770222009 on £bay would spent on service then gadget as you done pretty good job keeping your car clean up and running smooth good luck :zee:
  4. Nice looking ride you got there m8 have you figure out how the wiring setup for your Nexus 7 tablet mod?
  5. need to ask yourself what requirement spec you after and budget you willing to spend on this mod. from a Win ce satnav (extra av input) to a Nexus android/ mini Ipad (gadget) entirely up to you.
  6. same happen to me but finally located the noise coming from when the car jack up was the clutch bearing making the noise. it could be the belt. as i say you just need to located where the noise actually came from. good luck
  7. sad hearing this godsmack Aren't the police will back out cause the chase entering the housing zone (might hit pedestrian if not cars). Might as well log a police report maybe they will sort something out (i think the police shud take responsibility but not fully) Most insurer will defo write-off the cars (saving the hassel from the third party repairer bills) but if the cars have not serious damaged internal (just the body works need to be done) then it's no harm getting a quote see what can be done to the damage body parts. good luck fella
  8. Hi Neil, Like what you done to the car (very professional work).. when i bought the car i did ask the seller to call Lexus dealer in Manchester check if the cam belt changed as indicated on the log book. was so please drive all the way back from Wigan to Birmingham. To my shock to discover the belt already badly worn n might snap anytime (did post picture here) as all say it's advisable not to drive the car. won't hurt to sneak a peek now and then
  9. did anyone try using those "oven spray cleaning". it's really get those rusty thing off. and finish with some autosol metal polish :zee:
  10. :shutit: :shutit: it's a very nice well look after car after all. :zee:
  11. another extra just nick this from the web on removing stereo unit, in case anyone out there can't find previous link http://youtu.be/DlcD-RhyJjA :zee:
  12. Better stay away from people using SPONGE wash our cars lol.... thanks for the tips Neil btw have checked the cambelt of ur new ride?
  13. and some 501 bulbs (or led) for the main dials :zee: don't use t5 LED toooooooooo bright
  14. haha you would need to spend hundreds to get a PROPER LED diode to match a HID or halogen setup. Like i said the technology is there and some cars have them now, but in its early stages and manufacturing costs are high. the latest LS i believe does and a few others lol.... TRUE... there's no short cut :hocus-pokus: if wanted to keep up with the hype
  15. bought some LED headlight few years back... nearly hit someone behind due to lack of beam from the led bulb. removed and replace to stock bulb as soon reach home. i might have bought the wrong bulbs but i do prefer a proper HID set-up if wanna something different or bright. second if i wanted to get a tinted screen i would go for something that won't get you stoped by police asking you to remove it or worse hitting something/someone cause can't see a bloody thing :shruriken:
  16. best is take out the unit and have a look behind it, might be loose connection or try look for a good spot FM reception
  17. those file is already a PDF file.... it's an old pdf format (i'm sure it will works anyway) just need to open file via IE to view those file.. bought it few years back and keep the cd's on the service book since available to view online
