Field Remedy: 1523 Subject: Engine Stalls - Idle Air Control dirty Models: Engines: Option: Vectra-B 1996...2001,Omega-B 1996,5...2003,Astra-F 1996...1999,Astra-G 1998...2000 X18XE| X20XEV,X20XEV,X18XE| X20XEV,X20XEV X18XE,X20XEV Complaint: Poor idling, Engine stalls. Cause: Sticky idle air control valve caused by oil vapor. Production: None. Remedy: In case of customer complaint check the bore for crankcase ventilation in the throttle housing, clean it if necessary and replace the idle air control valve. At the Omega-B replace the connection piece for pre-heating if the bore for crankcase ventilation is blocked.

Mines going in next Saturday for its 1st MOT. Why are they so nerve wracking

I phoned them today and they are sending me a form to fill in. Apparently they are having problems with their rewnewal system.

My car will be 3 years old in about 3 weeks time and the Lexus assistance cover will end. Has anyone renewed this cover and if so how did you do it? :D :D

The "L" stickers go on only one way round, they are not double sided. Pete Jenkin does the curved type sticker that follows the shape of the caliper, they look vey good. ← Mike They can go on more than one way round. With the L at the top on both sides of the car or the L at the top on one side and at the bottom on the other side. They do not need to be double sided to do this. If that makes sense. :D :D

Which way up have you fitted the front Lexus caliper stickers? The same way up on both sides. (So the L is at the top or bottom on both sides) or So they can be read from the same direction. ( From the front of the car or the rear) so the L will be at the top on one side and at the bottom on the other. Also Has anyone fitted the stickers curved to follow the shape of the caliper, if so pictures please and how did you do it? :D :D
