  1. What milage is your car mate? I actually had my TRD yellow bars installed at Lexus Nottingham! At the time the car had around 65k on the clock and didn't need any droplinks or anything, it's hit and miss, Chris on here had to replace his when he changed them recently, maybe you'll get lucky :)
  2. I was only wondering to myself the other day why didn't they make tyres like this for ice - and turns out they do looking at your pics!
  3. Something like this would be a big help too mate: Connectivity Kit from NEO Once you have that all the details you need are here: Guides
  4. eXobex is the man for this fella! Basically you just open the console, take the drive out and connect it to your PC and flash a new firmware to the drive which allows it to play backups. http://xbox-scene.com is a good place to start mate :) You want the iXtreme firmware for whichever type of drive you have. Basically the drives are linked to the console via a unique key embedded within the DVD drive - if that doesn't match then you can't load anything. The hacks basically get you to read off the key from your existing drive - and then patch a hacked firmware with your unique key and then this is flashed back to the console. Don't go and turn the console on without the drive attached though as it's said that's one of the ways MS monitor for consoles that are being tampered with.
  5. Find an open carpark and drive around in a circle for 20 minutes so it'll wear whatever it's rubbing away Is it just the tyre catching? I was reading about an IS or GS, can't remember which in the USA which was totally slammed and they actually had to cut holes in the chassis where the top of the suspension was hitting it :o Have you got the standard alloys on or aftermarket?
  6. Maybe something is worn or it's just a geometry problem - dealer wouldn't be able to roadtest that though due to the excess speeds - may be worth editing that to read 70 as you never know who's reading these messages! Might be worth popping to Drury Lane to get the geometry done if you haven't already? Also get the wheel balancing checked while you're at it.
  7. Oh didn't realise that was +VAT, doesn't say on that page and I could be bothered to register - saying that still looks cheaper than Lexus - FiZix, give either Lexus Notts a call or Sean at Lexus Derby a call and see what price he'll do them for :)
  8. That looks like a supercharger case?! Immaculate engine bay though there fella!
  9. I don't know if you could squeeze one but I'd love one of the 335i or 335d's in the new shape, or failing that just the 535 would do me as they're definitely in budget :D
  10. I've not seen a car with that many stickers in about 20 years! What's that about then? Looks good though, RoadRash used to have those same TTE alloys on his IS200, they looked great on there too :) The car looks really good though :)
  11. Cheers fella, tried the Ripley one, they were a lot more reasonable, it was Selectatyre in Ripley actually who quoted the 26.50 + VAT per wheel! Used them a lot in the past but have to admit I go up to the Buxton one normally - saying that though since I moved further North the guys in Attecliffe are bang on everytime for anything you can think off - plus a couple are Chesterfield lads so I'll see them sometimes in the Beach Bar :D Then again not been there either for 6 months
  12. Bloody hell they did mess it up! I was expecting some small white speckles, not that! I'd have torn them a new arse hole if I'd turned up to pick the car up and had been greeted with that sight, guess you did that anyway which is why they're fixing it! Mate don't worry about being negative I'd have been cursing my head off :D
  13. Just done em tonight mate with a Brillo, was well shocked at how shiny they've actually come up - they've never looked like this since they were put on I don't think! Had to whack a load of Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover on the ends as they both had a 1cm black lip from all the crud, absolute cow to get the bits off I could! Will see how they look in the daytime as I've got some Autosol kicking about at the other place and could give them a nice finish with that! What amazed me was how easy the Brillos took the crud off - I'd tried with a scourer on my IS and had black chunks that just wouldn't budge, the Brillo just ripped em clean off! Saying that though once they're at a manageable level like they are now it will be ten times easier to clean in the future I hope :D
  14. Aye I nearly filled my pants as I wasn't expecting it at that point I just settled for same all around for now, longer term I'll have a play around though :)
  15. APlan used to be the recommended one here, not sure why they disappeared but both them and Sky gave me by far the best quotes of anyone :) I can understand why they won't insure people in certain postcodes as I guess all they'll do is pull out some stats about which are the worst areas in the country for theft and then price or refuse insurance accordingly. Thing is though I wonder if they update this info on a rolling basis or whether it's just done say every 5 or 10 years and everyone has to suffer as the result of one bad year? There were some dirty gypos nicking stuff around here recently, a guy in the village has some nice cars and has them all garaged up and it's getting silly now as he's got multiple locked gates stopping them getting nicked and still they try and get them! I'm wondering if he's got a weed factory or something hidden away as no-one is that interested in a Mini, a Ford X-Type and a Boxster
  16. Sorry mate that is the code to get the TTE antirolls from the dealer :) What I did notice though is that in the pic on the TTE website they are black, which ones did you get in the end Yeldarb, where they the black or red ones? They're £316.28 at TDI here: http://www.tdi-plc.com/catalog/product_inf...oducts_id=13949 Personally I'd go wherever is cheapest and if that's TDi I'd use them for it :)
  17. Brillo pad mate :winky: Lance hit the nail on the head with that one, polishes wood up nicely :D
  18. Filled in Don't worry I won't ever be going back to the place that tried ripping me!
  19. Have to admit I'm stumped on this one - I did notice though mate that when it was set to rock hard that the back end would skip out much easier! It felt fantastic on the country roads but then it stepped out when I didn't expect it giving some very light throttle going round a busy roundabout! Which suspension is it mate? Have to admit I'm just running mine at setting 5 out of 15 towards the softest side, gives about the best compromise for the roads around here and at the minute it's set the same all around - I did ***** up and had three corners sat at 5 and the drivers at 10 - that was an interesting experience!
  20. Yeah pretty much mate, they're not the most modified type of car these so the majority of stuff is brought in from Japan and a lot of stuff that used to be readily available has now all dried up due to items being discontinued and so on. I think I read somewhere that TDi had a set of the TTE red bars available still? Try contacting your local dealer and see what price they'll give you for PZ439-C0722-00
  21. Ice racing tyres :o Didn't even realise there was such a thing but that looks awesome!
  22. I'll have to get a vid like Anees did so you can hear it mate, sounds better now it's not blowing (caught it on the road near home), just need to try the Brillo pads on the exhaust first :D I'd caught one of the brackets that was holding two of the pipes together and it was blowing slightly, made a fantastic noise though, sounded like some big V engined monster! Gonna see if it can remove the bark off em cos they're filthy!
  23. Ah I know where you mean, Steve was shouting something out the window when we'd gone down to see that dolly bird at the sandwich shop :D @ Dan, that would be ace, I'd be running off for a pint to check out the local talent down there while I was there :)
  24. aido

    Gs300

Sounds like you're having major issues there, sorry to hear it - what exactly is wrong with it? You could always get an engine from a breakers but you have no idea of the history of it, nor how long it will last - you'd be best off getting yours fixed I'd have thought or has it blown a piston or something?
  25. That sounds a great price I'd have thought, especially from a dealer - is it a Lexus dealer or just a normal car dealer as that can make all the difference.
