  1. I need to find it first They look good from a distance too - first time I've seen it from a distance for ages and as Redz says it looks a bit Yakuza :D
  2. Spent three hours sorting mine today too, didn't do as good a job as Chris but I'm happy with them :D These really do look great on the IS though :)
  3. They look mint mate :D Tell you what they definitely suit the IS better than they did mine fella, they look immaculate, I'm sure you ran down the shop and bought four new ones really :P
  4. Well got around to giving the new wheels a once over today after finally sorting the interior and my new aux connections, they've come up pretty well considering the state the were in when they arrived!! Gave them a quick squirt of Autoglym Wheel Cleaner first of all to set the ball rolling, then dried them followed by 3 coats each of something called Rim Wax (no jokes please!) Seems a very good product, the wheels looked ace! Just a shame as soon as I drove off a water pipe had burst and now they're filthy again - but that means a good test tomorrow of how good this stuff is! There's a good shot of me in my pink jumper earlier - I've relegated that to car wash duty as I always get the ***** ripped whenever I wear it and I knew it would be good for something!
  5. Went to see Redz today as he had a look at my system and sorted out my aux inputs for me so I've got stereo for everything now :D It's ace, well happy with it all now, my eardrums are still hurting from how powerful that system is in his car though, awesome stuff! Thanks again fella, was pretty cool driving home hearing Sky Sports News in stereo instead of crappy mono through one half of the car :D
  6. Sorry to hear that fella, those car park machines at DRI are useless, they're forever breaking down!
  7. The only psychedelic products I'll be getting involved in will have a big Heineken sticker on the front :D Over to Utrecht for Trance Energy and a Luminosity event and then just having a couple of chill days in Amsterdam, was going to get my mate some mushrooms but read they've been banned now so none of that!
  8. Tein as one example redeveloped the CS line for the US - I think originally all territories got one version, now they're not listed in Japan or Europe but they have both V1 and V2 over in the USA, with the second version having stronger rated springs I believe? It could also be to do with the differing road types as well maybe?
  9. Yeah definitely mate, the only thing to watch out for is not to go too tight all around otherwise you can end up making the backend step out all the time, I saw this years ago over on My.is where some of the guys had gone for very stiff coilovers in conjunction with the thickest antiroll bars they were selling in the USA! They were saying it was slightly better handling wise to move to a softer aftermarket ARB in conjunction with their coilovers (can't remember which ones) as it was more predictable. Clawley was once explaining it and it's to do with the fact that as the chassis has been tightened so much you've got less flex to absorb the energy that's going through the chassis and so that's why they will step out more easily - some people do prefer that though for drifting and stuff, mine's a daily driver though so keeping it sensible for now :)
  10. Happy birthday mate, have a good one :D
  11. They are the same fitment, just spring rates are sometimes different, IS200 coilovers are usually actually ones designed for the lighter RS200 I think, with the IS300 being heavier any coilovers bought from the USA are usually better rated springs I think to account for that. Ages ago Mr Singh did a group but for Apexi coilovers which I think were designed for the IS300 but thye worked fine on all the cars, Fargo had a set on his IS300 and Am had them on his RS200 from memory and they were both fine :) Think Neil has them on his RS200 too?
  12. The guys at Charlesworth use this whenever they change oil as far as I know: http://www.forteuk.co.uk/Advanced_formula.htm Similar sort of thing, add it to the oil and leave the car running for a bit to thin the oil and then flush it all. They've worked on a lot of cars from here and I've not heard of any problems.
  13. Those ones are crap Just pay the €20 and get the proper nice ones, I had them on mine, those were quality badges :D
  14. I'll keep my eye out for you in Holland as I'm in Amsterdam and Utrecht in a couple of weeks time, can't wait :D
  15. You're not going to like this answer but I had something jammed in the interior I just swapped into my car, had to take the back seats out the car, and then used a torch to find something jammed in the mechanism and then stabbed that with a knife until it came out, then shake the seats about until it fell out It was the only way I could think of to get the angle needed, turned out there were a few pieces of a kids toy and a sweet wrapper stuck right at the back! Works fine again now though, just a pain in the ***** having to remove the rear seats after I'd just put them back in first time in two months :o
  16. The ARBs are listed under stabliser kits for the IS on the TTE website now, don't why why as they have a separate section for the roll bars but it's greyed out :)
  17. They're only 20 Euros, that's cheap as I wouldn't think anyone else would sell them apart from TTE?
  18. I was reading about this on ClubLexus the other night and you need to remove the leather so you can disassemble it fully I'm afraid!
  19. The console is an easy swap. Remove the ashtray by pulling towards you first. Remove the gearknob by unscrewing it. Then just put a flat blade screwdriver covered in tape in between the space where the wood ends where the ETC and Traction control buttons are and it will come up - disconnect the cables to the buttons there and then it will lift up and towards you - there are two more plastic lugs holding it at the radio end so just give it a pull to release those. Then you can swap the console over for another with wood - if it's the orangey colour wood, not sure of the correct name but these breakers here have a console available - 01709379292 - Zaf Auto Repairs and they're in Rotherham.
  20. Welcome to the club fella, who's your bro then? Good luck finding one, what sort are you after, colourwise etc?
  21. PMSL :D Is that CPC a trade place then mate? I feel a right mong as I was trying to find info everywhere on that thing I first found at Keene as per my first pic, turns out it wasn't giving me any info as NoScript in Firefox was blocking it! It's a 1m long jobbie that one I linked too, noticed that you can get 6 ft ones from the USA, think I might grab one of those but have decided to hang fire and see if I can get the other audio channel wired in first :)
  22. The guys in the USA do it a lot mate, think I've seen a lot on ClubLexus like that?
  23. Aye good idea - I'm gonna pop down Keene in the morning and pick one up and I can do a test fit in the car park and run back in to get exactly what I need then, will probably buy a few items for what I need :D It'll be right good if I can get it all working :D Thanks fellas :)
  24. Ah that looks like the sort of thing I'm after, any ideas how long they are as standard mate as it doesn't say on that site? To be honest I reckon 2 meters would be more than enough, it's just from the glovebox to the boot area so that I can plug in whatever I want into the TV :D
